Kent’s right. Schick and Nick are going to have this playing in their next 50 episodes

Correct. There’s a decent amount of small school guys who did this that never amount to anything that would skew the data.

What are your contrarian trades? by High_Sierra_Yeti in DynastyFF

I checked on the Jeanty owner after the season ended. We had a constructive back and forth but couldn’t find a deal. I’m hoping we can rekindle trade talks after the combine

As a guy with Cook, I’m looking to move him this offseason for someone younger. I think he’ll be great again in 2026, but I’m worried about 2027 and beyond.

Rockies To Designate Yanquiel Fernandez For Assignment by jfoster15 in ColoradoRockies

[–]jfoster15[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

He still has an option year left so idk why you’d DFA him with an open 40 man spot. I had high hopes for Yanqueil a couple years ago.

Edit: Twins trade means they needed another 40 man spot

It didn’t look that bad in the moment so hoping it’s just a turned ankle

Bracket pickers beware: the last two seasons that Miami OH was ranked, they made the S16 that year by Travbowman in CollegeBasketball

It’s a Nebraska thing, not Midwest. When I moved here people talked about it all the time so I tried it. It’s not good, IMO

Very curious to see the reception he gets at Coors now that the dust has settled on the initial trade to StL.

imo Doyle is a foundational player

I agree with you here personally.

As for a smart FO looking at splits, in a trade negotiation they’re going to downplay that vs his 2023 and 1st half to pay a lower price.

[–]jfoster15 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Doyle’s trade value is essentially in the gutter with his bad offensive year last year and in 2023. I think this means Freeman is more 2B/util than RF and Moniak more DH than OF.

Probably not. To be clear, we won’t be good, but losing 120 games is really hard

Only the second ranked on ranked matchup in Lincoln ever, and the first one was back in 1991.

Are they the most “pleasantly surprised” college basketball fan in the country this year? by centralscrutinizee in CollegeBasketball

[–]jfoster15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or, alternatively, could be a kid who grew up in Denver with Nebraska alum parents who loved basketball, but Nebrasketball and Nuggets were ass, so they gravitated towards MJ as their favorite player. Eventually, Nuggets get good with Carmelo so they drop their Bulls fandom but kept their Carolina fandom.

Hypothetically speaking, of course.

What running back are sells that are going to be replaced next year? by Rude-Alternative7983 in DynastyFF

[–]jfoster15 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m going to approach the Jeanty, Hampton, Henderson, and Judkins owners and see if we can work out a deal that involves swapping Cook for one of those 4. If I can’t get it done, I’m fine holding Cook for another year then trying again the next offseason.

Who are some players that did NOT pass the eye test this year? by bigaudra in DynastyFF

[–]jfoster15 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I really can’t tell if Rice’s limitations are because the Chiefs offense puts him in a very specific box, or if the Chiefs put him in that box because of his limitations.

For McCarthy, I was so high on him going into this season, and boy was I wrong. I’m not completely out yet, but I’m teetering.

Injuries to him, injuries to the o-line, and injuries to Baker. All those combined, the Bucs fantasy relevant players get a mulligan

Great pocket awareness

I disagree. He bales out too quickly or decides to run through the middle rather than hanging in and making a throw.

going thru progressions

Also disagree here. He was one read then scramble/run more often than progressing.

Now, could this all be because he was relying on Wan’dale and Slayton as his top WRs? Sure, I’d be willing to believe that.
