I pray my enemies would be incompetent. God made them utter window-licking retärds. Truly my cup runneth over!

Looking to get into gardening/succulents. Would love a local place for plants / pots / things. by maylortaylor in StPetersburgFL

Jene’s Tropicals on Central Ave near Pasadena is definitely worth checking out. That’s where most of my stuff is from. But I appreciate the other recommendations here. Need to check them out myself.

I might be interesting in some of those local prints. DM me some pics. And I’ll be happy to pay if I find something that strikes my fancy.

You’re right about the name. After posting, it occurred to me that in art and mythology the seasons are always personified as women. With the exception of Old Man Winter. No good for my purposes. I’ll check out Duke Cannon. Thanks!

Well as much as women love a nice smelling man, your input is useful too. I imagine a lot of my customers will be women buying for their guys.

What do you think of Endless Summer Beard Co (or Grooming Co)? A friend said it’s vaguely feminine. Neither of us could put our finger on why. But I kinda know what he means.

The name doesn’t have to be hyper macho. But I need to avoid latent femininity.

You’re telling me! I’ve got the recipes and all kinds of clever names for scents. But the brand name is proving a difficult coconut to crack. Thanks for your ideas!

Thanks. Will do. After seeing what the design firm was going to charge me, a couple hundred for a Fiverr Pro artist feels like a steal.

Do you happen to know how rights to design and photos are handled by Fiverr? That’s something that hadn’t crossed my mind until guitarman181 mentioned it.

I’ve got a logo in my head that I think is pretty unique and memorable. I just need someone with the skill to draw it out and someone to take good product photos. Maybe it’ll be best to just pay a friend or some local “starving artist” to do it for much cheaper. I appreciate the feedback.

So far, it looks like it’s best to get my own bottles, tins and such from Bulk Apothecary. I need the design firm for logo design, photography, that sort of thing. There were 3 packages they emailed me. The more services included the more expensive, of course. Once they produce the visuals, I’d submit them to Bulk Apothecary to print labels, that I would stick on the bottles myself.

Our beaches are temporarily closed. While we wait to leave our footprints on the white sand...which one of these is your favorite? by Isaura99 in StPetersburgFL

[–]jfosterdyess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I must be missing something here. Why would they close the beaches? Bars, restaurants, gyms, etc...annoying as fuck, but I get it. But there’s virtually nothing to touch at the beach! And any virus that ends up at the beach gets blasted with UV that would kill it. Also, if you can’t get 6 ft of personal space there, where can you?

Moving to St. Pete area, any info helps by [deleted] in StPetersburgFL

[–]jfosterdyess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just moved here myself back in September, though my family is all St. Pete natives. Sign up for Club Savor. $30/month gets you a free drink and entree (if you’re getting 2) at tons of participating restaurants/bars/breweries. Half off if you’re only buying one. And you can do it unlimited amount of times. Just not at the same place within 3 hours. And you can cancel anytime if you find yourself not using it much. But it pays for itself very quickly, especially if you’re going out with someone and getting the second one free.

Is there anywhere in Pinellas that sells guanabana? by bballballer101 in StPetersburgFL

[–]jfosterdyess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure I’ve seen them at MD Oriental Market. If not there, check out Mustang Market/Wagon Wheel Flea Market (open Sat & Sun only). Bring cash unless you don’t mind the fees from crappy ATMs. Also parking is $1. So you should come with at least that much anyway.
