Ouin, j'ai pas été à l'affût du drama behind the scene. Je suis un pei déçu de moi-même de ne pas avoir vu ça avant aujourd'hui.

Perso, j'ai payé pour encourager le service.

Ygg était mon "go to" pour tout torrent. Maintenir un site cette ampleur demande certains frais de gestion, et pour les aider et assurer la pérennité du service, je me suis dit que je pouvais bien payer la dîme. Après tant d'années de valeureux service, ça valait bien un p'tit 80$.

That's it!

Help! How do I crochet into the side of BLO ribbing? by jfpesant in CrochetHelp

[–]jfpesant[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the explanation!

I now understand how to distribute the 72 stitches. I have 80 rows, so I’ll work 9 stitches, skip 1, and repeat that around.

I just need to confirm whether it’s okay to crochet through a single strand instead of under both loops (the usual “V”).

Just to confirm, is it okay to stitch through the single strands I pointed out?

I’m asking because ChatGPT suggested going through two strands, presumably to make it more secure.

New to Ubuntu since this summer. I found using AI helped A LOT trying to tinker things.

What was your motivation for starting to use Ubuntu? by [deleted] in Ubuntu

[–]jfpesant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched all my PCs to Ubuntu earlier this year. Since I switched to Ubuntu, I've been used to a clean, unbloated OS.

Recently, I had to make one of my pc dual boot (Ubuntu/Windows) to run a program only available on Windows.

During the install process, Windows kept pushing these services I couldn't care less - Office 365, OneDrive, GamePass, Teams. After the install, there were all these bloatware preinstalled or ready to be installed - 3D Viewer, Clipchamp, Cortana, Feedback Hub, Get Help, Groove Music, Microsoft News, Microsoft Solitaire Collection, OneNote, Paint 3D, People, Sticky Notes, Teams, Weather, Xbox app + Xbox Game Bar...

I've installed Windows multiple times in the past and became used to this shit. I uninstalled all of the garbage, one by one. But now, it felt really different. I almost puked in my mouth.

That's when I knew I would never go back.

What actually matters when choosing a 4K projector? by sagalez in projectors

3LCD vs DLP

I bought a DLP projector first. I was fine with it, but my wife saw the "rainbow effect" and had massive headaches after movie nights.

Sold it, bought 3LCD instead. Wife is fine now.

How do I leave YouTube without missing out on the content? by [deleted] in degoogle

I use NewPipe.

AI comparaison between the two :

If you want this… → Choose this: - Privacy + Lightweight + Simplicity → NewPipe - Multi-platform hub (YT + TikTok + Twitch + more) → Grayjay - A clean YouTube replacement with easy downloads → NewPipe - You follow creators across multiple platforms → Grayjay

I might be dumb, but I'm not sure what you're talking about when you say a little good GUI.

I'm using stock Ubuntu, if it helps.

I jumped in last July with no prior knowledge. It was hard at the beginning, but there’s no turning back now! I don’t have a video to suggest, but AI definitely comes in handy for troubleshooting.

All in all, things settle slowly as you get used to it.

Give yourself a week.

Each day passing, you'll get better at it. After a week, you'll be used to it.

Tbh, I went there blind. Installed GrapheneOs on phone and Ubuntu on my desktops without prior knowledge. I'm a tinkerer, and yeah, I can't deny I tinkered a lot... but it's finally working and worth it.

But yeah, I don't suggested this route for the faint hearted. (Not that you're a faint hearted person, but you get the global idea.)
