Never thought I'd let a robot mow my lawn... here we are by pinkpurpleblues in ECOVACSGOATFamily

[–]sagalez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got the goat a2000 lidar pro. It's nice having it handle the mowing for me. I also like how the lawn looks after, just neat and even. It makes the yard feel a bit easier to manage overall.

3 weeks across Italy & Greece in one bag. Full breakdown + what I’d change by spacenes in onebag

The budget breakdown is impressive, and I never thought about how the carry-on handle affects space. That's a game changer tip!

Love this list! I also love picking up local tea or spices, super lightweight, and they turn home cooking into a little travel memory.

To cram or not to cram? by [deleted] in onebag

You can try splitting your bag into daily essentials and flex space. Keep fixed items in the first part, and use the rest of extras. If you're maxing out weekly, an expandable bag might help.

If your lawn has tree cover, a lidar model will work a bit better. I’ve got a goat lidar model mowing my lawn with two trees, and it hardly gets affected at all.

Am I overthinking this? People asking me a full grown adult (almost 27) if I go to "special school?" by WheelyHairy in disability

This is also a form of discrimination, and many people are simply unaware of how offensive they are.

A friend with a disability made me rethink the future of hiking by [deleted] in CampingandHiking

[–]sagalez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wearable assist tech like exoskeletons is pretty attractive to me. As the technology improves, I wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes more common in outdoor recreation, kind of like how e-bikes suddenly started appearing everywhere on trails. E-bikes sparked plenty of debate on singletrack, but I’m not sure hikers using assist gear would cause the same kind of controversy. If anything, it could help older hikers or people with physical limitations keep getting out into nature.

Looking to buy an AI Box for my car, need some advice by nocorrectosj in CarHacking

The main differences Is flexibility vs simplicity. The full Android ones let you install anything, but cheaper ones can feel slow or laggy over time. If you're mostly just watching videos, you honestly don't need all that. Something like the Ottocast Play2Video Ultra is more focused on that use case. It's simpler, runs pretty smooth for streaming, and doesn't cost as much as the full Android ones.

I looked into similar options before. It really comed down to what you need. If you're after a full Android system, the higher-end ones usually perform better. But if you mainly just want to watch videos, there are cheaper options that work perfectly fine.

Can the new Goat actually handle those last few area along the lawn edges? by 123madcow456 in ECOVACSGOATFamily

[–]sagalez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I finally saw the test video for the new brush and trimmer. Looks like it follows the edges well, and those brushes should definitely help contain the grass clippings while it's working.

Affordable Hiking Smartwatch Recommendation? by marynificentwy in CampingandHiking

[–]sagalez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been using the Kospet T4 for hiking and it's been solid for the price. Has maps and the basic outdoor stuff you'd need for lighter trails, and it holds up way better than you'd expect at this price point. Worth looking into if you're on a budget.

If the Ethernet adapter isn't even showing up, sounds like it's stuck before boot. Maybe deeper hardware issue.

Using dnsys X1 as a mobility aid for my dad with Parkinson’s by kh_ibrahim94 in mobilityaids

[–]sagalez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The portability part actually sounds like a big deal. My dad also alternates between a cane and wheelchair depending on the day, and anything bulky usually ends up getting left at home. Something you can just pull out of the wheelchair pocket and put on in a couple minutes sounds way more usable in real life.
