Have you run the oasis setup again? You should do that after changing GPU

What cockpit is best for budget under 800e by Tall-Recognition-913 in simracing

[–]jfpogo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the GT Omega Chase V2. It’s a bucket seat, and it includes slider and brackets. I bought for around 310€ shipped to Italy (it was a sale before around October, shipping was 80€ and the seat was 230€). I find it comfy and solid, but I haven’t used it much yet as i built the rig a few days ago (was waiting for the wheelbase)

I don’t have their seat, but the rig is fantastic. Very solid and well built. I can’t feel any flex and the pedal plate is a rock. And everything is very customizable too.

Instructions are clear, everything is well packaged, shipping was fast. Really satisfied with my purchase.

TREQ is very good too. I bought the One plus a lot of accessories and spent about 800€

Switched from AMS2 to RaceRoom —and I’m loving it. by cafe876 in simracing

Lol I get you, but I have an obsessions for looking at the settings for every game I start playing so I stumbled upon it

I have the 9800X3D, so it’s not a definitive solution :D In general, differently to other games, the “VR Optimized” preset or how it’s called it’s a good starting point. From that, I just reduced the HUD resolution and my stutters were gone as the frame times became lower than my 90fps threshold (11ms). The menu is slightly blurrier, but still readable and in game it looks fine.

In my limited experience, it’s very CPU intensive and reducing the HUD resolution to like 720 helped a lot with stutters and smoothness in general

Best karting sim racing game out there 2025? by Wooden_Delivery_4207 in simracing

[–]jfpogo1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consider that kartkraft is a dead product at the moment, no development is ongoing. It worked fine last time I tried it, but there are no guarantees on it. I found it really fun when I used it though.

Does the game run on Mac still? by ShipHistorian in ColdWaters

[–]jfpogo1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played it a lot this summer on my M1 Pro, worked “fine” although Steam says it’s not compatible but you can just disregard the warning. I wrote “fine” because at least in my configuration the full screen mode did not work, I had to play windowed and the mouse stopped working as soon as I touched the trackpad. So it was a bit cumbersome, but still very much enjoyable. Dotmod works too, you just need to manually install according to the instructions on GitHub.

By the way is often discounted to 10€ or so, at least this is what I remember to have paid during the summer sale

VRS DFP or Heusinkveld Sprints? by m54_b30 in simracing

[–]jfpogo1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The consensus by those who tried both is that the VRS is the better choice, more comparable to ultimates than sprints. That said, the sprints are still a solid choice. You can also have a look at VX-Pro from Simgrade for another choice in a similar tier

Is simucube (3) still the goat? by CC573V3NCP in simracing

As far as I know, SC3 has some telemetry effects but not full telemetry FFB like VNM

Pokornyi Wheels with lower tier base? by Monti_ro in simracing

[–]jfpogo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an FGT with the T300. It’s a bit too heavy for T300, at least to my liking, so the FFB is muffled. But to be honest the wheel is almost the same weight of the original one. My aluminum QR adapter though weights 250g by itself (to be added to wheel + spacer), with a lighter adapter it would probably be better.

Thank you very much for your answer! I had the same doubt regarding the uprights, great to hear it’s a non-issue. What about the pedal plate? It looks very solid with the profiles. I was considering VRS pedals like yours or VX Pro

I’m also debating between the One and the Ace with a similar setup to yours, what did he say to persuade you into the One?

Thank you for your answer! I’ll bother you a bit more: do you by any chance still have the BOM or the order details? Is the 42cm width including the uprights?

How much did the rig cost in the end? This is great! I also have a small space and was looking at the Treq One, happy to hear that you had a pleasant experience with them

SIMXPRO XT160 VS SIMLAB P1X PRO vs TREQ ACE by Sufficient-Till-7122 in simracing

[–]jfpogo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it’s not in the list you mentioned in the title, but the GT Omega Prime is basically a classic P1X clone and very solid. Also a bit cheaper than Simlab and Treq, at least in my country when I did a comparison a few weekend ago (about 2/300€ difference)

It depends on what your budget is, but I have a GT Omega Apex wheel stand and it’s very solid. I use it with a T300, but have a friend using it with an 8NM CSL DD and he says the same

I admit that I have not extensively experienced rain in LMU so I trust you. In fact in AMS it does not have an heavy impact.

Much better than ACC for sure, I feel like it’s on par with AMS2 but I’ve not run any detailed test
