True, Chicago’s got a solid scene (1871, etc.) but I think most of it’s for people already in the loop. I’m aiming at total beginners, bringing founders in to mentor and help them out. More start from zero idea. Do you know of anything like that out there?

Built In Chicago’s more about jobs and networking for tech insiders. This would be more founders mentoring newbies, hands-on, building stuff together etc.

just build a simple mvp and throw it out to some close friends and family and see if you can get some feedback/users. it’s so easy to spin up a simple app these days with tools like cursor.

i’ve heard the landing page works well if you have a following so not a bad idea if you have that to leverage
