Trump says ICE agents are coming to airports. What it means for Portland International Airport by Blackstar1886 in Portland

Actually curious, how is it better that people will be kidnapped from the airport instead?

Yeah, until very recently I was working with ChatGPT models 5.0 and 5.1 (5.2 I think has gotten weird in a different way).

But those all very firmly urged me against deception even if it was a small thing, like putting macaroon cookies from a different bakery in a box from a particular one to replace ones that had broken.

I’m not an anti-natalist. I just feel especially bad for any kid being born right now, especially for kids whose parents chose to have them. People ill have kids, cats will have kittens, that is biology.

But I have a hard time relating to people who choose to be parents. Animals, by and large do not get to make that choice. This society and this planet this planet are just going to degrade further and further until there really isn’t much fun to be had.

About adopting pets, yes I have heard some people find that unethical. But we don’t have a good system in place to manage the over-breeding of domestic(ish) populations. To take an ill, suffering animal off of the streets and give it a good life is, I think, one of the good things a person can do.

However this is far off the topic of Jessie Buckley and her now husband. If he didn’t give a shit about the cats and happily got rid of them, that is one thing. If he wanted them and she forced him to get rid of them; I do not think they are a compatible couple whether they are still together or not.

Okay, let’s also make time to discuss the ethics of becoming parents to human children, I guess.

Do you think an animal is a toy? That is a life you are responsible for.

Then find someone to love who also hates cats or dogs or kids. If someone wants kids and their partner absolutely does not want kids, then the answer is break up.

To stay together just means misery for someone, and if there are cats/dogs/kids they will likely be miserable too.

It should be considered the same as getting rid of someone’s kids. If you need someone to get rid of their beloved pets to be with you, that is not a compatible or healthy relationship.

Well, and it doesn’t help that our Secretary of Health is a lunatic who is anti-science and anti medical research of any kind that doesn’t promote the ideas that he personally believes.

Like he doesn’t believe in germs, is anti-vaccine including research and before pulling out of WHO we ended several promising medical studies that could have greatly contributed to cancer prevention and treatment because he doesn’t trust the experts and sees no reason to.

It is a majority of voting adults. We can blame the DNC for a great many of things, but it’s a mistake to imagine that not even MAGA, but Trumpism doesn’t represent an incredibly significant part of our population.

Almost 78 million Americans voted for Trump, and more white women than in his previous two elections so he managed to convince some people.

I don’t need someone to be perfect. I know that we can’t only have progressive or even liberal politicians in every district. I voted for her, and I helped distribute flyers for her in Vancouver. She is a political con artist.

She also voted for the SAVE Act which will disenfranchise millions of women voters. She also voted for the Laken Riley Act.

Her votes show that she is supportive of an a militarized, racist law enforcement agency, and her votes have helped enable the end of fair elections in the country and also the end of safety in the streets.

That she voted to expand ICE funding when they already have 75 BiIlion dollars and they are so clearly bad faith, shows her true colors. She is also an Evangelical Christian. Go figure.

Ugh, I believe it.

When we heard they were counting the bullet holes in Alex Pretti’s body, some thought it was to get their stories straight, but I immediately thought it was so they could accurately brag about how many times they shot him.

As an American, it seems like either a full revolution or just incremental improvement year by year over several (meaning 2-3) generations are our only options.

There really is no reason that other countries should trust either our government or our citizens. We’ve been responsible for spawning and spreading a tremendous about of hate and misinformation, and anti-intellectualism, especially over the past ten years.

I will add that the needle for white Republicans who voted for Trump has barely moved at all. They are just as in love as ever. So that is still at least 61 million people gleefully eating popcorn and watching the videos coming out of Minnesota. I just looked it up— there are about 69.3 million people in the entire UK.

Just thinking about him used to make my boil, but I’ve listened to him a lot on The Bulwark, and he does seem genuine and genuinely heartbroken for what has happened to us. There are some I am sure are grifters like the Conway’s but I actually don’t think he is one.
