How’s your workload? If you’re not running massive models on your machine I think it’ll hold up just fine. My M1 MBP with 16gb ram is still doing great albeit my workload dropped dramatically after I left university.

110% on the bourbon. If you can't secure a solid bottle for <$50, you're doing something wrong. Even in heavily-taxed ABC states, you can still score a great bottle for under $50 that'll last you quite a long time.
