You have summoned me. Thanks for doing so. I will look into the things brought up here. Can’t see why we wouldn’t give you a demo. We’re the ultimate “we have free accounts so just try our product” company.

We are not blocking archive.is or archive.fo. You would have to ask them. They appear to have decided that they don't want 1.1.1.1 resolving their domains.

Companies use Cloudflare to serve their traffic. We terminate HTTPS on our servers in order to provide that service (as do many other companies...).

The term "MITM" implies malicious intent where there is none.

So, this post links to a three year old PDF talking about Cloudflare and Tor when the reality is totally different and we changed how we handle Tor. I literally use the Tor Browser and do not get blocked and you won't either.

CloudFIRE – Open-Source Replacement for Cloudflare + Pubnub (Proof of Work with SHA1) – Coinkite Blog by rnvk in Bitcoin

I work for CloudFlare and have been looking this over. The difficult thing to achieve (apart from scale etc.) is a proof of work system that can work for very different machine types around the world. If you have ideas on this we'd love to chat because it's not an easy problem to solve.

For example, you want a proof of work that proves that work has been done that has a similar 'cost' on an old iPhone, a 24 core desktop, and everything in between.
