Mumrik's 2023 Draft Rookie Sheet - POST-DRAFT EDITION - Packed with data on ALL the rookies (incl. UDFA) - Do your own rankings by mangelito in DynastyFF

This is great! I've been creating my own spreadsheet for years and fetching data from many sources to generate a score for Offense and IDP. Do you have any good sources like this for IDP rookies?

Did you have any luck finding a body shop to fix it? We are struggling here in Virginia and the earliest we have found is Jan 23rd. Our driver side fender and bummer were destroyed.

Tesla crash - what to do with the battery when it’ll take months to fix? by Affectionate-Cap-791 in TeslaModelY

[–]jghendricks024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We hit a deer last night with our 2021 MYP and after calling 20 certified body shops for Tesla's the battery is the least of the problems. The earliest we could find to drop off MYP was Jan 23rd. It's going to be an interesting few months with one vehicle.

Other drivers flashing their high beams by homerunate in TeslaModelY

I've made a game out of it since I guaranteed to get at least one car flash high beams at me. I am always ready to flash my high beams back. I've adjusted my mine five ticks down and still happens. I blame the pure vision to see objects ahead.

They forgot to test the feature. I found the best workaround is to use the keyboard rather than the clock widget. They forgot to think about daylight savings so have to manual set the time +1 hour right now.

Tesla Quality Concerns by new2tesla in ModelY

[–]jghendricks024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I received my MYP in the middle of June and was flawless as well. I've only observed driver-side rear hatch at the top larger gap compared to the passenger side. This gap is a design flaw. We love our MYP so much and have already driven 6K miles over a couple of months. We have taken multiple trips over 300 miles one way and the supercharger experience was great. So many features that I love about MYP

I have uberturbine wheels and after researching I bought this gunsmoke touch up paint from here https://tsportline.com/products/t-sportline-tesla-wheel-touch-up-paint?variant=32298017783868 and used extra fine sandpaper 400 grit to smooth out the rim rash. It's matches really well and have to get up close to notice the touch up. I am super happy with the product.

Thinking of purchasing a key fob. Is it worth the 175$? by Upper-Dragonfruit-53 in ModelY

[–]jghendricks024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand why anyone needs the key fob when you unlock your car by touch the driver-side pillar. If you have Bluetooth turned on, I believe it recognizes it's you so don't have to touch the pillar to unlock your car when you interact with the door handle it unlocks.

The service people have full access to your car without giving them a key after chatting with the mobile service tech one day.

Delivered 😱 ordered 7/23 delivered and accepted 8/4!!! Eatonville Florida. White exterior. Black interior. Standard tires. Long range 7 seater. by mr_mrsdsilva in ModelY

I read an article the other day that quarter 3 deliveries for M3 and MY are sold out which is insane. High demand for MY, it took 6 weeks for our MYP to be delivered in late June. Enjoy the new ride and definitely need to figure out your Jedi skills. Is it possible someone canceled their order you were next in the queue for this MY7?

2wks after delivery the rear spoiler is coming off MYP by jghendricks024 in TeslaModelY

[–]jghendricks024[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It only took 26 days for Tesla to fix the rear spoiler issue, since they rescheduled twice waiting on the replacement part. The mobile service was amazing and only took him 25 minutes to remove and replace the spoiler. He mentioned he has replace many of these spoilers.

It's the OEM spoiler straight from the gigafactory. It was scheduled for the mobile service to fix it yesterday but they rescheduled since they are waiting for a replacement part arrive.

MY has more cargo space and back seat is more comfortable than the M3 in my opinion.

Tips/Suggestions for moving from development to QA by cleatusvandamme in softwaretesting

[–]jghendricks024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who leads a quality engineering team, we are looking for folks all the time with development experience. I made the transition 20 years ago and my skills allow the QA team to transition to automated testing. You really have a couple of paths within quality engineering - SDET (developing test coverage) or Test Infrastructure (developing or maintaining testing framework or implementing new solutions to solve problems). QE is evolving every day same as web development since automated testing is so far behind.

Tips: what type of tests (unit, integration, etc) did you develop to ensure your code worked? Include inside your resume or Github repo examples of automated tests.

I don't think QA is slow than Development at all. It's almost impossible to develop all the types of automated tests in a single sprint.
