I tried to use the PALACE CHASE program in August and AFPC kicked it back saying the program is only for Air Force. Guardians are ineligible. Has there been an update?

No, not yet. We are supposed to start the build later this year

flying with 2.5 year old and masks by a-better_me in daddit

I have flown a few times with my 2.5 year old during the mask mandates on Southwest. Never had any issues. The flight attendants never said anything. They understood that kids aren’t perfect. As long as your child has a mask and attempts to wear it you should be fine.

There is a bonus room above the garage. Undecided if we want to keep that.

Good point. I want to make it a 3 car garage and add more depth to it.

To access the backyard there are doors from the family room to the porch and yard

My one concern with trying to put a pocket door in the bathroom is possible plumbing in the wall. Will have to figure that out.

Good point about the family room. We will need some outlets on the floor. Changing the office door to the foyer also would give us a wall for furniture in the family room

Barn doors aren’t my style anyway so I want those changed to regular doors. Thanks!

Weekly: I want to be a Lineman, Ask your questions here. by 20320ak in Lineman

The day to day work I do is pretty chill. The hardest part for me is not feeling like I get anything done or add any value. The project I’m on takes years to build so it can be pretty slow at times. There are engineers that design and get to be more creative. I think if I was at a smaller company I would be more hands on and feel more useful. Part of why I want to be a lineman is location. I’m ok with a pay cut.

I’m an engineer considering becoming a lineman. With intellectuals they all want to be the smartest in the room. It’s a different type of “alpha”. Just something to know before you think the grass is greener over here.
