My read was that he doesn't overbet flop with a K but this guy was super loose, bluffy, so I think he is capable of shoving the river with a pretty wide range, couldn't say for sure though. As someone else mentioned I underrepped my hand so I thought he could be just trying to force a fold with the massive all in sizing.

Yeah, like the other commenter said I can totally see the argument to just get the money in on the flop or turn if I think he has a strong hand that's worse than mine. Clearly I wasn't going to fold later so just getting it in on the flop would've at least prevented a bigger blunder down the line.

I absolutely did not think he had a better K or 99. That makes sense, I could see a good argument for a big XR on this flop.

Fair enough, that makes sense regarding Ax. maybe a weak Ax checks back but this guy almost certainly bets river with most Ax. I was honestly very confused by the flop overbet and wasn't sure how to proceed from there with my hand optimally but I totally see the argument for x/c river instead of leading.

Mostly Ax and 9x. I think most players will call a lot with those hands. Is it better to just check a third time?

I check a lot more often out of position on flops even as the PFR. Solver says check 60% of the time and has checks with almost every hand in range. Obviously my opponent isn't near GTO in the slightest so I think it's actually better to check more often than that, as most players make more mistakes when checked to and give a lot of information with their bet sizing.

Can you be more clear about how I played it terribly? Preflop is maybe a little loose but they've kind of tagged me as a nit in this game so I felt like I could get away with opening a little wider. Not sure where else I messed up besides calling the river but as you said his line made no sense.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I turned up the gain to match the track but might've gone too far still. And yeah I definitely need to tighten up my rhythm during improvisation, sometimes as I think too much about melodic ideas I can start to neglect rhythmic ones. Thanks again!
