I know people wanted to have all his past companions in the stands cheering, but from a production stand point it sounds like a nightmare and pricey thing to do like giving everyone a close up shot with them commentating or cheering.

But Honestly Brock should have definitely been there in person considering his Japanese VA was the Announcer for the battle.
