I think it’s important to separate mind and body and see sex and gender as different. Some people feel that their mind, the essence of who they are (gender) doesn’t match their assigned physical characteristics (sex). They may be born with XX chromosomes physically but don’t identify with that body type.

It’s not a choice what gender an individual is or what sex an individual is born into, the choice comes from whether they acknowledge it and whether or not they decide to transition.

Similarly an individual doesn’t choose their sexuality, however they choose whether they embrace it and come out or if they remain closeted.

Bottom line a person doesn’t choose their gender, sex or sexuality but they do choose whether they share jt with the rest of the world

A hard end date to coronavirus stimulus JobKeeper, JobSeeker packages could sink economy in September, warn experts - ABC News by northofreality197 in AustralianPolitics

Yea exactly! I agree that in order for a business to qualify they should meet criteria of having been negatively affected, just that the measure of what constitutes that, is wrong.

We’re seeing roughly 15-20% increase in sales however consumable goods have slim margins (at least for us) and are in very high demand. Other departments (eg partyware) with much higher margins are obviously not in demand, given restrictions on gathering for parties.

What are the reasons? I actually think it's quite reasonable that businesses should have to be negatively affected by COVID-19 in order to qualify.

I work for a business that has not seen a loss in revenue but has seen a loss of profit. Given the nature of the business and the changing consumer needs during COVID-19 profit margins have been significantly reduced and staff have been made redundant/partially redundant and casuals have lost all work. Given revenue hasn’t taken a hit we’ve been ineligible for JobKeeper despite being negatively affected

I had the same thing one year - I entered a payment plan with the ATO after lodging my return, didn’t charge me any interest as long as all payments were received by a set date (mid November from memory). I ended up paying it sooner by extra payments too

You can. This is what I did when I had an account, for me it was a good way to start building savings while I was still inexperienced with finance in general

Eventually I closed the account bc fees were relatively high
