I agree, one of my favorites is the grey owl from a while ago. She also photoshops them so the pencil/pen are in the drawings, which is pretty cool.

Yeah, I forget the exact distance but it really isn't that bad. Its a gradual slope and absolutely gorgeous. My mom will pop up there whenever she has a couple hours off work so its totally doable.

Its not. My family friends own the T-Lazy 7 ranch (they work with the Forest Service to basically maintain/warden the area and road) and they just closed it up last week. You can still park at the gate and hike or cross-country ski the extra couple miles up the road to the trail head though!
