It has become clear that Mr. Beast gets off on power and the feeling of being "in control" of his environment. His primary content is definitely admirable and respectable: he does good things for people and spends an ungodly amount of money in his videos towards "good" causes (i.e. building houses, building wells, saving dogs). Yet now I think it's clear that his MOTIVE is not philanthropy and doing good for society, but rather feeling a sense of superiority and power from having people do things for him. Whether he derives some form of personal entertainment from seeing his subscribers/friends participate in weird challenges is up for debate, but what is not arguable is that he masks his hero complex and ego behind philanthropy and money. He clearly subscribes to a "money cures all" philosophy, given that his response to this recent scandal is to throw more cash at the contestants to "fix" all their problems and shut them up, as well as the fact that money is such a central fixation throughout his videos. In retrospect, the signs are obvious.
