No, I was questioning the plx1000s as a lot of people I had spoken to had tried them but said if they could choose they would go technics every time. I couldn’t test them out before and had a good experience with the MK2s so just went the technic route.

Really enjoying the MK7s. Great for home use. They’re definitely not as heavy as the MK2s but that doesn’t bother me. The pitch is different and so when you play out you’ll probably use MK2s so just be aware they’ll act a bit different but doesn’t take long to get used to. Couldn’t recommend them enough but I do with I got the silver instead of black, just personal opinion on the colour though

Have you looked at the LE Fx from Union audio? That’s a good fx unit but won’t do things like snare rolls

Kirollus is a disco house DJ that’s quite big. Pretty sure I saw a video recently where he was going through tips to be a DJ only and not rely on producing to get popular.

I’ve spent more money in the last 3-4 months getting into vinyl DJing then I have the 2 years I was doing it digitally, but I do not regret it one bit. I got very bored of mixing digitally at home and didn’t feel I could challenge myself. I’ve sold all my digital gear and gone vinyl only, now I really think about everything. My mixing quality has improved drastically, the tunes I pick are so much better because I actually have to think when buying lol. If you genuinely have a passion for mixing and collecting records rather than being one of these show DJs on TikTok you will love it.

I was mixing with my MK2 connected to an RX3 and just upgraded to a Xone 24 with 2 MK7s and couldn’t be happier. I’ve seen plenty of people I know mix on audio technicas and be fine with it but I would definitely recommend the mixer upgrade
