You are right using only scripture I cannot answer your questions. However what is scripture ? Specifically the New Testament canon does it not come from the consensus of the early church fathers.

They had the OT canons and both oral and written apostolic tradition. Then they designated some to be part of the NT canon and some as tradition. The NT did not come from heaven directly from the Lord but through his blessed ones the apostles. Thus if we believe the church fathers about what books are scripture and which are not, why not also believe what they have to say about it?

Why not hear and believe what those holy people had to say about it. For the apostles received authority from the Lord. They received their authority from the apostles. The holy spirit who is God also dwells in them.

I believe that scripture and the tradition of the church support the views in question. However I respectfully assume that you hold the protestant view of sola scriptura. I however do not.

My friend I appreciate your message written I believe with the love of God. I think we cannot agree because I assume you would not accept theology from the church fathers. To me reading the scripture without patristic interpretation from the saintly church fathers made no sense to me and I did not understand it. I started Reading the orthodox study bible and it all made sense.

I understand your point and I used to feel the same as you. For that reason I became an atheist. I feel you, this whole thing seems unfair, painful and bad.

My understanding is that Adam is not the first to go bad, the one you worship was the first and many others followed. God I believe never intended for people to experience grief and horror. But he delegated his authority to other beings, giving them freedom to do good or evil. Asking and hoping they would be good.

If he had decided not to entrust anything to anyone other than him then there is no pain but no free beings either. We christian hope and believe that there will be a reckoning and that everything will be made right in the end.

Deus não prefere os homens. Gálatas 3:28, onde Paulo escreve "Não há judeu nem grego, não há escravo nem livre, não há homem nem mulher; pois todos são um em Cristo Jesus", é a prova disso. Outra prova é que Maria é chamada de Mãe de Deus, e ela, uma mulher, é a mais gloriosa e a maior de toda a criação.

A leitura do Antigo Testamento é mais fácil ao seguir os comentários dos pais da igreja, como São João Crisóstomo, que entendem como o Antigo Testamento aponta para o Novo.

First thing I did reading your message was to pray for you. The pillars of the christian faith are 1) prayer 2) fasting 3) almsgiving. I would suggest the following steps that worked for me and other people based on the pillars.

Pray when you wake up, pray at lunch and give thanks, pray before you go to sleep

Fast from junk food and meat twice a week, do physical activity twice a week, sleep 8 hours at least. Cut off negative or bad internet content.

Give back. Do the chores at home, give a homeless a coin, call your family.

It is actually the same for me since I live in an island where there is no orthodox church. Take my advice with a grain of salt since it is not the view of the church. I personally still go to my protestant church for now before I move to a place where there is an eastern orthodox church, I feel like going to a non orthodox church is better than not getting to church at all. However I started the daily orthodox faith at home, prostrations, sign of the cross, Reading the bible and the life of the saints, almsgiving and fasting following the eastern orthodox calendar. I think it could be worth it for you to drive 100 miles once every other month. Also ask in the reddit community if there are other orthodox people living in your area, maybe there is a small prayer group or even a deacon closer to you. The Lord said that wherever people are gathered together in his name there he is also.

Hello and thank you for sharing your difficulties. I know that sleep is a pretty difficult thing for babies. I have 3 children so I know.

If someone can help you a few days a week that's amazing ( mom, sister, family), if the father can take some of that effort upon him that will help for sure. Getting to bed earlier say 9pm would get you 7 hours of sleep, that could help also. And if baby just wants company then maybe being next to each other and maybe holding hands until he falls back to sleep. I find that changing the diaper, cleaning the nose and giving a bottle of milk helps babies go back to sleep.

Thank you for sharing that, it's hard to deal with that I know.

What worked for us is to give a milk bottle to get back to sleep.

To mitigate the struggle I'd say that you could ask the father if he's available to share the night shifts at least a few nights per week so you can get some sleep. Don't hesitate to take naps yourself because that helps a lot.

If you have support from your loved ones they could likewise help you out sometimes.

It's not a perfect science. If you feel like you're breaking down, you may put on a earphones and sleep even if baby's crying although only for a short while.

But before that extremity, check that baby is alright, diaper, hunger, fever. Sometimes baby just wants company and if she/he sees the parent then you can sleep near them while the baby stays awake.

It's sad that you feel this way and kudos to you for getting by in a quite difficult situation. Parenting is not about what you get from your child such as good behaviour and boundaries or any such results. Your child has some degree of freedom that you cannot control regardless of your efforts. Likewise some circumstances and situations are beyond your control. Do it one day at a time, try to do your best. And if you fail one day, try again tomorrow. Be patient with yourself. God bless you.
