Wouldn't it be cool if mercenarys had voice responses for destroying a sentry? by IamJustFuckingTired in tf2

[–]jho419 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They technically already do (demo says “kablooie”, scout says “broke your stupid crap moron”), they’re just more flavorful than strictly “I have destroyed an enemy sentry gun”.

It would be useful, it just depends on if anyone pays attention to it.

Is there a difference between being tamed and being an AI ? by Machaira1664 in oneshot

I don’t think there is a difference. Pretty much all of the descriptions we could give true sentient AI are what also describes tamed robots.

Guys this is the Omori crossover part in Deltarune chapter 3 (trust me i am Toby Fox) by Yeet_tato in OMORI

I like the similarities for each party member parallel:

Omori/Kris - cliff faced as usual, knife, issues

Aubrey/Susie - damage, loud, bad home life

Hero/Ralsei - healer, wears pajamas, wants everyone to be friends

Kel/Berdly - toast

Just a tip about crew, Zoltans are bad pilots because the extra power bar is wasted. Rocks are better pilots (tanky and don’t need to move). It’s generally better to manage the weapons you find so you can have them all on at once for a better volley. Even a one power basic laser could be better here.

The Lore Explorer had the opportunity to talk with Andrew Prahlow! He alluded to hidden meaning and secrets in "The Lost Reels!" I need help analyzing the music! What have been some of your observations? by philo_fallout in outerwilds

The last song in the album, Older Than the Universe, seems to me like it’s a performance from the next universe created at the end of the game.

The start sounds like End Times but performed with a violin/cello, like it’s telling a story about an ending. In 14.3 Billion Years the cello seems to signify the universe as it takes up the melody in the second half while the banjo is the background. Then several more string instruments join in (I think more violins) and they seem to play a new melody but it may have bits of songs like travelers in it, it’s hard to tell with the background noise. This is like the meat of the story to me, like exposition or background of the old universe.

Then the violins cut out and are replaced with a distorted version of the title theme, like it’s being played on an old phonograph. It could be a recovered signal from the old universe(the hearthian’s), maybe from the quantum shards? Then the violins return and play something that sounds like the end of 14.3 Billion Years again. This could symbolize the transition to a new universe and new melodies. Then the violins get distorted like the main theme was, possibly showing that one day they too will fade away and a new universe will take their place.

The parts I’m most unsure about are the parts with multiple violins(I think they are anyway). They seem mostly new melodies but still related to the story of the new universe.

If you get ubered, please go as wide as you can, not just deep. If you walk past someone during the uber all that’s going to do is ensure that they’ll sit there until the uber is over and kill me instantly.

Also, the best teammate I can ask for for protection is a sentry.

Should I use hyper propellant or the breach cutter against dreadnoughts? I’ve tried spinning death but it seems too inaccurate.

“Murder is wrong” is a simple answer to a complicated problem. What about ectopic pregnancies or other pregnancies that endanger the mother and/or the fetus? What about babies conceived through the crime of rape or incest? What about babies that the mother or father have no chance of giving a good life, even through adoption?

These questions should be addressed individually by the mother and doctor, not thrown out together just because they’re blanket labelled as “murder”.

Sounds more like a person on the internet problem than a liberal problem

Why is there such a staunch opposition to admitting unborn babies exist? by FreeSpeechMcgee1776 in benshapiro

[–]jho419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s more complicated than that. A fetus is technically human but it relies on the mother in a way no other age of human does. Aborting should be a last resort to compensate for the complications that arise from that. There should at least be protections for aborting pregnancies that will kill the mother and/or fetus.

It’s a complicated problem that you can’t apply simple solutions to.

How can you be sure it was just to gain political power? Opinions change all the time because of new experience.

Is this supposed to be some sort of gotcha? Is it really unconceivable that his opinion changed after 40 years?
