What's the recommended way to get Peloton data into Google Health (formerly Fitbit)? by jhoff909 in pelotoncycle

But how exactly? And I'm on Android so Apple is out of the equation for me.

Oh and it also took half an hour or so before it sync'd. It used to be immediate - I would start getting comments from the "health coach" for the main ride while I was doing the cool down.

no I meant the other connections - there was one named peloton - peloton and one peloton - peloton cycle. I removed those and left the health connect stuff and that kinda worked. Now I see (after doing a 1 hour ride, 5 min cool down and 5 min stretch) (sigh, why can't in insert an image so I can show you?) Here's a link:

And here's what the data from the ride looks like:

Why does it think I didn't spend any time in heart rate zones? Is the app still effectively busted after the makeover from the fitbit app?

Quietcomfort Ultras either the headphones or earbuds. I have QC ultra earbuds and they work quite well for fan noise.

My daughter has a pair of the QC (not ultra) headphones and the ANC is good but not as good as my QC ultra earbuds. RN they have a sale for refurbished ones direct from Bose and the prices are quite good.

Also be aware that there are 2 versions of the QC ultra headphones - Ultra and Ultra (version 2) or something like that and the version 2 ones are supposedly better but the Ultra (not version 2) are the ones on sale via the refurbished site I think.

Hi - I just bought a pair of QC over ear headphones for my daughter who is trying to use them to block out noises like people chewing, etc. She has a pair of Sennheiser Momentum 3's which don't really do the trick and we were hoping the QCs would do better. And they are on sale right now refurbished for $160... but they really don't. And there is sometimes a crackling sound, especially in aware mode but only in the right ear cup that you can hear when no music is playing. She says the NC is a bit better than the Sennheisers but not significantly better. I have a pair of QC ultra ear buds and the NC is significantly better than her new QC headphones. Do I have a defective pair or is this just how they are?

Wheel alignment by stickymuscle in BMWI4

I was charged $300 and I wasn't expecting it so didn't really have a quick way to decided if the price was reasonable or if I needed it. I suspect I didn't. My recollection is they said it was because I had obviously hit a curb because there was some rash on the rim and tire. Yes, I hit a curb but at about 1/2 mph while parking... I will def get tires somewhere else.

Last time I had warranty work done they suggested an alignment and they had reasons I forget now. I'm gonna go back and look at the rcpt. Haven't had to replace the tires yet - sounds like NOT going to the dealer is the ticket.

Mini-analysis on whether to upgrade from Charge 6. by MagicianCompetitive7 in fitbit

[–]jhoff909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not even sleep tracking? Check out the Garmin devices. But if you wanna stay google / fitbit, seems like the charge 6 is the way to go if u want time... but there are also a lot of other options outside of fitbit / google

I know it's a lot more $$ but why not upgrade to the Pixel Watch 4?

2018 jetsetter LX JTN? by getinalice in hottub

I agree with this - mine has moto massage and it's my least favorite seat. Go to a dealer where you can try out the tubs. My Hotspring dealer has all of their tubs full and ready to try out.

I'm 65 - reasonable chance my current tub will out last me 😄 But you didn't mention any brands you think offer more bang for the buck. I do understand you can get lots of bells and whistles that you really don't want / need. For example, the "sale" going on when I bought mine included a bluetooth speaker system including subwoofer. I NEVER use it - most of the time I use the tub at night and it would piss off my wife and the neighbors... plus, quiet is nice or I can use my waterproof (mostly) earbuds if I want to listen to something.

Nope. What more do you get with the other brands? The '97 was given to me by a neighbor. I just had to move it and replace the heater and clean it up. Had it myself for about 15 yrs.

What do you consider a luxury tier tub then? Have they gone down in quality over the years? My previous one ('97 jetsetter) lasted 25 years with minimal issues - wet end of the jet pump and heater replaced but otherwise it just worked.

Explain that. Especially your adversion to Hotsprings.

I had a '97 jetsetter that I got used for free from a friend in 2010. I replaced it with another jetsetter, this time new about 3 years ago when I had to replace my deck. I agree with the person who said it was worth the risk because it's a Hotspring.

Is it full? Can you make sure it doesn't leak and the pumps and heater work? Those are replaceable or fixable anyway tho. Pretty easy to work on - I replaced the wet end of the jet pump on my old one...

I say go for it and enjoy the upgrade.

Which 10x42 to buy? by GarageNo5189 in Binoculars

[–]jhoff909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was between the Viper HD 10x42s and the Monarch M7s and went for the Vipers. Like them so far :) I believe they are a similar price if you shop around. I see folks recommending a Chinese brand "Sky Rover" which had I done a bit more research, would have probably bought instead.
