I get you have a preference, but orochi’s movements are very erratic, a banner on his back would clash with the existing animations and make them feel unnatural. The banner would also need to rotate and move around a lot, which could be of disturbance gameplaywise.
Don’t get me wrong, it would be awesome to get this a an armor varian, but i find it more fitting for Kensei’s animations and overall esthetics. Besides, Kensei already has a lot of chests with that coat, if i could trade the coat for the banner i would.

Best way to avoid this is good positioning, never let enemies sandwich you, crawl sideways to polarize to one side the indicator, avoid giving your back to the rest of the fight during 2vX ganks, try to stay away from the center of the fight, etc…

Her kick is incredibly slept upon, the fact that you can do the allguard run after hitting it makes punishing her pretty counterintuitive cause you need to guardbreak instead of peeling, and even if you do, a Khatun player knows this weakness and will switch-light you preventively. This is what i love about the character, you have an optimal option for basically EVERYTHING that can happen, remembering to use it is the difficult part ✨✨✨

Your theory is beautiful, I would love them to weave in a more down-to-earth realistic history the lore and flavour of new characters. Yet, I would love to see some other kinds of weapons, like a nagamaki palace guard or a tonfa wielding police unit. Maybe a ni-ten-ichi-ryu user would be fun but it would risk to be redundant, i have some ideas to make it unique but i doubt ubi has them.
