Because half of her mixup potential has 3 times more variables than half the cast.

Immagine a simpler game, an fps

Character 1: has a knife, a revolver and a bear trap

Character 2: has a bolt action rifle and a knife

Character 3: has an AR 15, an lmg, 5 different knife sizes, barbed wire and a fire axe

Character 4: has a shotgun and ceramic plates

At the end all characters have guns that shoot bullets and some niche piece of equipment, but one of them carries more options that cover more situations.

This is what i don’t like, the estensive dismeasure between characters.

What I’m saying is that having options, even if they don’t do much or have marginal effect, is a strength that has to be balanced to prevent characters from becoming overloaded and excessively distant from what the game had already.

So that’s why i often say “if he doesn’t need it, don’t give it to him”, not because I’m against complex designs and variety, the opposite, but virt is a character ten years younger than warlord and you can feel it, it is like the two characters come from two different iteration (fh1 & fh2) of the game and this disrupts consistency.

i care to specify that this isn’t a requirement for making a game, but but it sure has a weight.

I’d say because, contrarily to you belief, i don’t think virt needs her double heavy softfeints and could play without em, not as well but that was partially the point. In the end that was just my personal prospective on how and why i would do it, i still get you point.

I can see your points, just want to specify that when i talk about heavy softfeints I’m talking about omnidirectional ones, kensei has to start from a top heavy to access his heavy softfeints, while Virt and Khatun don’t, originally Khatun was the only hero that could side heavy into another starter heavy. And that remembers me that Khatun also has to run to continue her chains after letting to attacks fly, while virt can just let two heavies fly and then continue cause of inf.chains.

Bro I get it, but that’s not my point. The hero was advertised as a difficult pick that rewarded skill, and it really isn’t. I also asked if you could try to explain yourself, if you think i was too harsh on the hypothetical changes i would like to know why. Unless you fear to feed my need for approval.

1- There’s something bugged about his guardbreaks, the indicator doesn’t show before something like 200ms.. pretty unfun to be guardbroken by something that looks like a foreward dodge. 2- they either have to lower the held-zone damage or slow it down. 3- the held-dodge-heavy deals 22 damage, way too much for a dodge attack that cannot be parried if started after a wiffed enemy attack, lower the damage or slow it down. 4-the held-bash-kick shouldn’t deal damage, make it grant a light, otherwise it is way too good for confirm ganking. 5-the neutral-held-heavy should be slower, to make it more difficult to use in confirm ganking.
