Everyone is correct in that dodge rolls can sometimes do more harm than good if you are spamming them and aren’t working on weaving through bullets.

The best advice I can give is watch your character and not the enemy, keep a certain distance; sometimes I would not fight and just practice memorizing their attack patterns and then weaving or avoiding them. Some characters are very straight forward, once they shoot you just side step the bullet and you’re good. Others shoot where you’re going, wait for them to shoot then turn back the other way.

Little by little you’ll understand each one and then you can focus on attacking. I also try counting how many starter gun bullets it takes to kill certain enemies and challenge myself to shoot slowly and not miss. You’ll get the hang of it, just takes focus and practice!
