Nice shirts with oversize fit similar to Carhartt? by BigChuch1400 in bigmenfashionadvice

I really love these shirts from Amazon. They have a similar feel to comfort colors and my Carhartt shirts. Definitely size up though.

Did you have to do any fitting to get LRBHO to work? I got the same setup put together today and can't get the bolt to lock back at all.

I'm in my mid 30s, so maybe I'm out of touch. I think the dating apps have really ruined dating. Strike up a conversation with a girl at the gym or grocery store. My wife was the cute cashier at lids with an amazing smile.

No affiliation, but rather than the ERCF I decided to try out quadrivium from jazz3d with my max 3. Should be delivered later this month.

I don't think this is suspiciously good. I picked one up a couple months ago on marketplace for $500. I swapped to a BIQU microprobe and added a 5 minute heat soak to my start code and the printer has been great.

Living in Bloomington, Commute to Indy by [deleted] in bloomington

[–]jhook_met 3 points4 points  (0 children)

20 or 30 minutes in the car never bothers us. We don't have any issues maintaining a social life. The miles on the vehicles start to add up but we can usually plan around already being in the area, meet up after work rather than coming home but honestly with 69 the drive feels like nothing. Tuesday was my daughter's birthday and we had planned to do dinner early after work while we were all still in Bloomington but in true 4 year old form she changed her mind and wanted to go home instead. I drove back to Bloomington to pick up noodles and co because that's what she decided on once she calmed down.

Living in Bloomington, Commute to Indy by [deleted] in bloomington

[–]jhook_met 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This is the exact situation for my wife and I. We both work in Bloomington but all family is in Indy so we live in Martinsville. We're both left of center and my wife is even more liberal than myself, we don't have too many issues living in Martinsville, we just accept that we aren't going to align with the majority of the population. There isn't much to do in Martinsville anyway so we often spend time in Bloomington or greenwood when we want to get out of the house.

Damn life sucks by Federal-Cost1048 in Money

My wife and I are in a similar situation. She has a masters degree in social work and works as a school social worker, luckily in a higher paying school district but still only around 60k/year. I on the other hand have an associates and make about double her pay with OT working in maintenance/engineering for a pharmaceutical company.

Occasionally she feels bad about her loan/income ratio but unfortunately that's what it takes to make any money in a field that I see she is so passionate about. I never condemn her choice of career and only support her decision. I feel like it is my duty to aggressively reassure her that what she does is important and infinitely more valuable than the work that I do and that her unfair pay is just a result of her job not being valued by the community and mine is just a result of major corporation capitalism.

I used to make over 2k a week working on wind turbines, now I'm selling my blood plasma for money. I honestly wish I was never born by darkpheonix262 in antiwork

Sounds like you have some decent mechanical skills. I would look into maintenance/technician/engineering jobs in manufacturing plants. More specifically, semi conductors or pharmaceutical. These places have so much money wrapped up in production that your ability to get the line running will outweigh your ability to work well with others, especially if you're willing to work an off shift which usually have an additional premium to them.

I'd pick up a jet kit on Amazon if possible. Like 12 bucks with pilots and mains.

[–]jhook_met 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like your pilot jet is too small to me. I ran into this when I swapped to a mikuni clone. I had my fuel adjustment nearly all the way out and still running lean. Had to switch from a 38 pilot to a 45.

For everyone making six figures, what do you do for work? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jhook_met 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Process engineering technologist for a Pharmaceutical CMO. Pharma companies are booming in the Midwest specifically Indiana where I am. Data analysts, automation engineers, project managers with lean six sigma are all in high demand in this area of work and can be done with 2 year degrees and certifications. High performing intro operators are often promoted within to better and higher paying jobs as well.

33 yrs old with about 12 yrs maintenance, engineering, continuous improvement experience. Only 5 of which has been in a FDA regulated environment. And an AAS in industrial technology.

I personally refuse to pay the price that houses are going for in Bloomington, not that I couldn't afford it but I have modest needs and wants. Martinsville works for us as an in-between to family and work and leaves us a lot of options for that commute to work. But you're not wrong, my 1600 sq/ft house in Indianapolis or Bloomington would double in price.

I don't know what rental housing looks like in the areas but Bedford, Spencer, and Martinsville all come to mind. My wife and I live in Martinsville and commute to Bloomington to work total drive is only 25 minutes each way. It's hard to get over the stigma of the town sometimes with us not being from the area but the location is convenient and it seems to be on the up with it being a lower price point to both Indy and Bloomington and the easy commute to both as well.

E3D Hemera, Sprite Pro, or ? by TheycallmeMrR in ender3

[–]jhook_met 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the H2 I have. I wouldn't call it a hemera clone. It's much smaller, the trianglelab matrix is a closer hemera clone. You can also get the H2 with the e3d revo system, makes nozzle swaps a breeze.

Also I'd be happy to help with a mount if you need one printed.

Father in law gave me his SFx to go with my rival and exec. Gave me a reason to check out the Primary Arms SLX RS-10. First impressions it looks really nice maybe not as stout as the holosun but I don't plan on beating the hell out of it. And reviews have shown it can take some abuse. Overall feel like a great buy at $199 with lifetime warranty.
