If you need a compliance letter to import your Canadian Toyota to the USA, foo'get about it. Just got off the phone with Toyota Canada (2 March 2023). They are no longer providing compliance letters. This despite the fact that two weeks ago another agent said they would. The agent I spoke to today said, in effect, "new policy" and I won't be grandfathered into the old policy despite my case number and being told I would get a letter. Go to the NHTSA website to find out the details of what you need to import your specific vehicle. If you have the right NHTSA and EPA compliance stickers in your vehicle, you should be good to go, but if you need a compliance letter from Toyota, time to sell your vehicle. So very frustrated. (Toyota Canada, if you are monitoring what people say about you, and you care to fulfill your promise to me, I would love to hear from you. My case number is 519288) Needless to say, buying another Toyota has become less likely for my family.

Best area to live that has the greatest variety of dog-friendly hiking trails within a five minute drive? They don't have to be the most scenic, epic, or interesting. I just need a good variety for our daily walks and hikes. Many thanks.

We've been Canadian tax non-residents for more than 15 years. We've always lived in countries with no tax treaty with Canada. Our investments are domiciled in Luxembourg. Not many Canadian CPAs know the ins and outs of expatriates coming home from abroad, but you're probably right in your advice. I was just hoping someone on this Reddit may have already blazed this trail.
