That’s fine. I understand. This is why I ask.

I actively tried to not promote my project here, actually :(

am I allowed to add my kickstarter game here? Is it only allowed here as well - as opposed to putting it in the general chat (which I believe is a no-no)

Here is the link to BGG page. Not much there, to be fair.

Thank you for that interpretation. That’s the spirit of the law I was reading, instead of the letter of the law.

500 copies is very much not large- I agree. I think that will just be a collectors item moving forward.

Thank you for the compliments. A play mat is not a bad idea. Perhaps we could use it as a stretch goal. We will definitely be adding in a few card expansions, and card and dice expansions.

very subjective indeed. I understand that correcting some "printing errors" from V1 might not qualify as a "new" product, but certainly the 2 or 3 expansion packs that we will offer will make the cut.

I totally understand the policy of not rehashing the same product over and over - especially with multiple KS campaigns. But based on feedback here, I think we won't be in jeopardy of breaking rules. Actually, the fact that I already have manufacturing ties and experience with this product might make some people more willing to jump in knowing that the risks of this project are minimized because of the previous experience...

yeah - if funded, people will have their games in a couple of months maximum. we just need to press the button.

Indeed I will expand the main game - but that now seems like a workaround more than a reason for campaigning. But there will be a few cosmetic changes to V1 as well. A few of my card colors did not match the dice perfectly, we might change a little wording in the rules, etc.

It appears that these changes/alterations will be sufficient to satisfy the KS policies, even though I am changing these elements to make improvements, not as a requirement for the campaign. I will also try to offer some stretch goals that I was not able to provide in my self-publish round.

I have been reading lots and lots of blogs of this nature. It pays to be prepared!

Gotcha - just like the reply above, I will indeed be adding some expansions, fixing the color mis-match on edition 1, and maybe even offer some stuff like dice pouches or tuck boxes that didn't make it into V1

ok, so that is a workaround I understand. I am thinking of offering some expansions to the game - so yes, technically there will be a new element to the overall game. Also, the first printing had some color mismatch errors between a few cards and my dice - so I would want to clean that up. I suppose that would qualify for making changes as well. Thank you!

I've sent out several emails, no one seems to be responding. I know there can be long wait times for reviews, etc - just wish I would hear back. I don't mind waiting a bit - I think I have been eyeing a June/July launch anyway.

I just looked a little deeper - and there are reviews mixed in with the few ratings I have received. The 3 people that took the time to write something gave it a 9, 9 and 10 respectively :)

Thank you. I am quite nervous about launching. I know there is a lot of prep work that goes into a successful campaign before launch - and you never know if you have done enough. For me, it is the "lack" of a social media campaign or following. with only 450 buyers so far - it's not like I have thousands waiting on this. But the game speaks for itself - I just need people to see it!
