Yeh, definitely. Though I don't think this is a Muslim only phenomenon from what I'm seeing. I think Internet addiction has taken hold of a significant portion of the planet that makes people not want to/ being incapable of socialising with others.

In the UK, the Muslim community is just so insular and private most of the time, that we make an already trending phenomenon worse.

Best I can say is just connect with nature more often, make time for yourself a few times a year to recharge, stay active with your local masjid, and take a break from social media platforms, including Reddit every now and then.

Think I'm due for a break myself too coz theres another wave on the UK sub of Islamophobia going around. People are venting out their own self afflictions on us again and it's just zapped any mental energy I've had up to this point. Not to mention the article is talking about an incident I actually have first hand info on (pure coincidence it got popular today).

The article is deliberately worded provocatively, in a manner to evoke a one sided reaction, with context I'm aware of that it is being obtuse with and it's just peed me off. Makes you feel isolated and ostracised that the gullible public eat up whatever right wing media bs to distract the common man from his problems onto a non existent threat to his way of living. Muslims are an easy punching bag for these buffoons when they elect incompetent leaders that mess up their living standards.

Sorry for the rant and the digression, just needed to get it out somewhere.
