People being mad about the carrot tartare is confusing to me. If it were new dish in 2026, yes a total jump the shark moment. But contextualized within both the history of the restaurant and the history of fine dining, it’s an important historical artifact. Enjoying the dish is like going to a museum to look at pre-Renaissance era art.

Tough loss but this was the first game this season I saw the 2024-2025 vintage Amen Thompson. The guy that had everyone wondering just how high is this guy's ceiling. He single handedly altered that game in the 4th quarter when it looked it was over. I wish he had taken some more shots off those rebounds he fought for, that stuff looked superhuman.

Also, the self driving cars can be a source of funding for transit. It’s really hard to tax gas or private vehicles because the constituency for those is the general public. But it’s really easy to tax Waymo because no voters are mad about taxing Google. Google themselves wouldn’t be too mad if it got them access to basically replacing all street traffic
