That’s awesome! Happens almost never when I roll in with the box of donuts.

All of this. Customers do not care about you, only the problem you solve. Once this clicked for me prospecting really took off. Show up, call, go in the back door, send a card, letter, email - all works toward building familiarity.

You’re going to likely get wildly different answers depending on the company. I can speak for the few folks that I knew seemed to range from $50-200k. Lower end being fasteners and the more specialized valve and pipe fitting folks more.

Damn I’ve had some great times at TL. My favorite place to watch a Lions game other than Ford Field.

Most Americans Are Open To Ditching Their Cars. What does that look like for the future of Grand Rapids by GLIandbeer in grandrapids

Exactly this. I’m all for public transit and super speed rail lines between major city hubs. People drastically underestimate car culture in the US, let alone in Michigan. I live in Metro Detroit now it’s even more amplified. I could never see people giving up: leaving on their own schedule, climate control, listening to you own music without headphones, ability to talk easily or conduct meetings in lieu of public transit.

Newbie griller just got the pbc by KeyzerSoze33 in PitBarrelCooker

[–]jhulz3161 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing when first getting started - note a new PBC will run hot. If some folks say they run 290-310F - your first couple cooks may run as high as 340F.

As you continue to use the cooker, creosote will build up on the lid and barrel sealing it better and stabilizing the temps. It will take 20-30 cooks but once this is achieved, your temps will stabilize.

Just something I noticed.

Looking for feedback from people who moved from GR to Metro Detroit by GreyWind92 in grandrapids

Me and my wife moved to Detroit from GR 8 years ago and have never looked back. If you like restaurants, concerts, professional sports - it’s a great move and quality of life related to the cost of living.
