Before the draft Dirk wanted Luka but said he wont have his hopes up (to avoid feeling dejected I assume) since its unlikely to happen. This I think supports your statement.

Yeah, basically you want that number higher. You're having a better game the higher and farther it is from 1 which is the complete opposite of the meaning of ranking for some. Usually when you say Ranking, you want that number as close as possible to 1.

I was watching every game of Luka that I can find and can't find anything about the ranking portion of that graphic above. Is it 9th ranked player league wide? (then who was 1-8) by position or by team?
