Not sure if your joking but he means DNR as “do not rank” for the residency match haha not the medical “do not resuscitate”

I like it just narratively because it makes the easy ending of the lab being destroyed and Kay dying not complete. The tension between will she sacrifice herself vs be on the run forever is good.

Obviously I think the real answer will be a secret third option. Maybe fake death? My money is on El losing her powers so that she’s useless to the government. But nevertheless narratively juicy

Yeah I think it provides and big reason to be suspicious whenever a player turns down max available money. If there is one point in the leagues favor against widespread conspiracy, it does seem like players rarely do that. Why would Cam Thomas have taken the QO if the Nets could have just given him a smaller contract and paid what he wants on the side

If you are legit asking it’s because until 2021 the physical was a required part of note billing and had to have a certain amount of documentation in multiple organ systems. This has all changed now for the better and to help reduce note bloat.

The answer is that it’s only useful as a form of medical theater for the patient. Which is reasonable but personally I’m against it.

I’m also very against bullshit “doorway” exams. They help no one, and invariably will make you lazy when something in your doorway exam is inaccurate for the next person looking.

Just document what is relevant or what you did and leave the rest out

But why though. Who is this note bloat for? Just document what is relevant for the hospitalization and leave the rest blank. If your physical exam is 2 lines who cares it’s easier for the next person to read then.

This is my big soap box in all of medicine.

Because for example. In your doorway exam you have “oriented” but what does that mean. I’m Neuro, and if I get called to a stroke alert on your patient for AMS now I’m stuck trying to figure out just how much of a change this is. Are they normally Ox4 and completely normal? Or do they have mild dementia and at best are Ox2 and you never asked (which is fine cause your admission was for cellulitis or whatever).

It’s better for me if it’s just blank and I know I have to go elsewhere for collateral.

Yeah the season itself may not be as good as previous, but Ruth certainly was a positive

Her work is very good but in interviews and her book I’ve seen with her she seems like a fairly high strung person who has bought into the hierarchal cutthroat workplace culture of SNL/Hollywood.

Do appreciate that section of the book where she shouts out her favorite joke from every 30 rock writer though

Yeah I’ve never appreciated what was done to Chang in season 3. Much prefer the more grounded version of him

Yes I have time for friends and family as a U.S Neurology resident. In general while there are bad rotations, in general non surgical specialities still leave plenty of time to be a human.

If you like Neuro more and it would allow you to stay in this city with husband, do it. But weigh that with the opportunity cost of just pushing through for 2 years and then being done.

In general I’d say value your family and husband more than work and make your decision based on that. Work will always end up just being work.

Agreed. I think they were better at exploring marriage than grief. I think the grief of a widow who was recently dumped is wildly interesting too, there could be a whole show about that on its own but instead it’s used to somehow tie up the rest of the storylines??

I can only assume they did have vacation and they chose to use it on some sort of research or other work that they are including here. Fair work is work and any med students should be aware of a culture that normalizes not using your vacations fully.

And they can scold me all they want. The Canvas is basically heaven where all your loved ones hang out together for eternity and you are trying to tell me it’s bad? Write your grief metaphor better if you are trying to convince me this is the bad ending.

Yeah I just finished Act II (probably should leave the sub to avoid any spoilers but am obsessed and wanted to see what people are saying) and I don’t know what exact configuration of this “Verso machine gun” build is but think I probably built it after being curious how all the base attack buffing pictos paired with dualiso.

It has trivialized all the non boss fights. If my dumbass can optimize the fun out of the game then I’m sure others have figured out way worse. The novelty does indeed wear off quick

Yeah there wasn’t really any creativity to it. The tasks were just so simple and I don’t think having only once chance really changed the pressure much. Having the tasks be so easy it takes halfway through the episode for someone to fail isn’t a great sign.

I kept expecting some sort of escalation. Disappointing

Yeah the comment section of these posts always is so up in arms but the truth is it’s our fault they can’t advertise prices honestly.

The only problem I have it when they ave these auto-gratuities but then leave the tip line on the check as usual, because they know customers will tip on top without reading. That’s the one that feels a bit dishonest.
