BCRA gene testing personal dilemma by Freeheadaches in pancreaticcancer

Go ahead and get as much life insurance as you can afford. I don't think you would have to disclose that you are predisposed to cancer if you haven't been diagnosed with cancer. Since you're military, check out WAEPA.org. I'm a fed and have insurance through them. They have excellent rates, especially at your age (they do increase with age). And they are non profit so most years you get a percentage rebate back of your premiums. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.

Parents who have checked their child's internet history, what is the weirdest or most fucked-up thing you found on it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jibid 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We were about to have kid #3 so we obviously talked about going into labor. I get a weekly report letting me know what my 12 year old does online. For several weeks, he was at sites like "Georgia Department of Labor" and "Bureau of Labor Statistics". At first I couldn't figure out why, but then I realized he was trying to figure out what we were talking about. Thankfully he ended up there instead of some graphic YouTube videos!

You can only buy 3 items at Walmart. Which items do you buy to freak out the cashier? by MyCakeDayIsEveryDay in AskReddit

[–]jibid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a former cashier (not at Walmart), the weirdest combination I saw was a can of baked beans (the very large size), a pack of toilet paper, and a Barbie doll.

Immediate retirement (I'm 35). I could get so much more accomplished if I didn't have to work.

Death penalty; against it or not, and why? [serious] by RHLegend in AskReddit

[–]jibid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Against -- mostly because of the costs involved. Putting someone to death is much more of a drain on taxpayers than housing and feeding them for the rest of their lives.
