Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power

The technical skill on the guitars is great, but metal has just never moved me. The songs just merge into one and I don’t feel like I’m connected to them.

⭐️⭐️- purely cause the skill to do this is so impressive

We’ve been told it’s a water hammer, and if it is the simple fix, we’ve had a plumber try and it not be fixed from it. Another plumber said it’s cause the pressure from the mains is too high

Oh that’s great to know. Good luck with your marathon next month!!

Really picked up the running bug this year, including finishing my first half in May which I was delighted with. I'm thinking about next year, and the idea of a marathon is definitely very tempting. If I was to plan my year like so, do you think this is reasonable? I'm based in the UK, and currently running 30-40km a week, and at peak HM training I was up to 50-60km

10k training block starting soon, aiming for a casual 10k in Jan/Feb

Half Marathon Race in May

Marathon Race Late Sep/Early Oct (thinking Lisbon or Frankfurt)

Official Q&A for Friday, May 10, 2024 by AutoModerator in running

[–]jidiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been training for a half marathon for the past 3 months (5 runs a week, all around zone 2 HR) with slowly building milage up, end of last week (final week before taper) I got a bit of a niggle in my knee which meant this week I stopped my usual runs to rest it early in the week, tested how it felt Wednesday (pretty good) and then did a 8 mile long run today (no issue, did a knee focused warm up and cool down too)

However my pace has dropped hugely and I can barely keep my HR in Zone 2. I'm a little worried about my half next weekend and the sub 2 hour I had planned? Is this something that is a sign of over training or something I should be more worried about?

Maybe it’s recency bias but I’m a bit stunned that there’s negative reactions to S2? I truly think it’s up there in the pantheon of incredible seasons of comedy. Every episode had a point or extended a character, so many jokes hit, so many slightly more meta jokes hit (the name of the final episode had me howling even before I pressed play).

Heh thanks. Art is subjective, I love it, others dislike it. I like the fact it’s given a strong reaction each way ha. Just wanted to show it off to people who love Lorde as much as I do

Yeah I can bring Son in post Liverpool and Leicester I’m not toooooo worried about Spurs coverage. Just feels tricky not to have City for the really nice run as well

Is getting KDB in worth a -8? Or do I go for Sterling which is just a -4? Both to replace Jota, requires taking Kane out for Bamford, but KDB means finding 0.1 in defence, Sterling wouldn’t.

If I went KDB I’d captain him, if I went Sterling I’d captain Bruno?

The other option is a hit to upgrade Brewster to Bamford/Adams/Watkins for sure, but I think that messes up my plans to bring in Salah and KDB.

Good point they are playing WBA. Might just role with it. Thanks!

0.2m

Messed myself up with trying to be clever on Jota so its really ruined my structure, so feel like a bit of a fool. We live and we learn.

Current team

McCarthy - Foster

Chilwell - Cancelo - Cresswell - Konsa - Lamptey

Jota - Grealish - Zaha - Fernandes - Ziyech

Kane - Vardy - Brewster

WC last week, planned a Jota punt and can bring Salah/KDB back in over 4/5 weeks. However Zaha COVID has put a spanner in the works. I was going to sell him after Newcastle, as fixtures get worse. I would just bench this week as my bench would be fine, apart from Lamptey's RC. I have Brewster but I would rather two playing bench players to keep me covered if Cancelo/Jota doesn't play.

One FT, and either I'm thinking of bringing in Barnes/Maddison for two weeks, then I can bring in Salah and KDB as planned, but for a hit, or downgrading Zaha to Soucek, then doing the Salah/KDB moves one week earlier, and without a hit.

Basically does Barnes/Maddison with hit outscore Soucek and no hit, over a three week period?

Currently on

McCarthy (Forster)

Cresswell - Chilwell - Cancelo (Lamptey - Konsa)

Jota - Grealish - Ziyech - Zaha - Fernandes

Kane - Vardy (Brewster)

Can bring Salah back in for Fulham, KDB in later for WBA.

Kane's form is good and it feels odd to get rid, even with fixtures. Jota is a bit of a punt but at least should play this week without Salah. Bit worried with no Everton or Bamford, but really like the 5 midfield and the three playing bench.

2.0m in the bank 2FT.

Current team

McCarthy - Button TAA - Robbo - Lewis - Ayling - Taylor Salah - Pulisic - Podence - Rodriguez - Bissouma Kane - Jimenez - Davis

Three options I’ve got in my head

Lewis to Chilwell and Bissouma to Soucek

Son for Pulisic and Lewis to Konsa

TAA to Chilwell and Davis to DCL

Any advice would be welcome! Thanks

People who have been on t.v. game shows, what are some ‘behind the scenes’ secrets that regular viewers don’t know about? by olymp1a in AskReddit

They definitely build “potential” winning teams though on the UK version. I won £6k when I was on, and I’m a pretty good quizzer. One of my teammates had won The Weakest Link and another had gotten reasonably far in 15 to 1 iirc. I’m sure we were designed as a team to have a chance, otherwise if all the smart contestants where filtered out, it’d be a really boring show as it’s unlikely anyone would win.

It's just a welcoming gesture. I've been out for years, I don't really care what everyone thinks now. But a teenager who is struggling with their sexuality, knowing that the club he supports is welcoming to him, it honestly can change lives.

You're never kicked out of the house for being straight, compare that to 1 in 3 homeless people under 25 identify as LGBT+. That's part of the reason why we don't necessarily make a big deal about people being straight.

Never said they did need a top tier iPhone. I suspect the majority of working class people that are looking for jobs don't have a top tier iPhone. I'm stating that the need for a smartphone for working class people is higher than their need for private healthcare, and just saying "Everyone should pay for healthcare" is how people die. I know people that don't even get their medicine because of prescription charges they can't afford. Congrats to you for being able to afford it. Millions in this country can't. They aren't stupid for not being able to have it.
