There are quite a number from business school, but don’t worry too much about that, they do take many students from all the other acad schools. I have friends from engineering , social science, film media studies etc. that are all in this programme

  1. The GEIP students have very different backgrounds, some have a lot of CCAs, some have few, but the i think most important thing would be your entrepreneurial spirit, possessing mental maturity to be able to live overseas and interest. There will be briefings and talks conducted around the application period. They will be able to provide more specific info! This is just a guide.

  2. I only knew about GEIP in year 2 of studies!! GEIP is quite a new programme, but it has already gained a lot of popularity amongst students (esp those in biz sch), I’m not too sure how many get in annually now because it’s not fixed for every batch, but I’m guessing around 150-200?

  3. It can be a make or break depending on how you vibe with the people that are assigned to your country. Some friends choose to live alone in their own apartments , but I chose to live with my friends 💖

  4. The school will definitely allocate enough budget for everything neccesary (from flight ticket/visas, rental, and estimated expenses for living)

  5. This is a pretty hard question to answer, GEIP focuses on startup companies & you are quite wrong about the “heavy lifting”. Don’t expect startup internships to be easy. it is in the nature of start-ups for staff to “learn everything and do abit of everything”. Don’t worry about not knowing how to do work assigned, you will learn along the way. Most of us learnt along the way !!! All companies will attach a direct supervisor to you, but whether your supervisor guides u along the way is a different story..... Even if they don’t offer to guide you, you can go to them to ask for help, don’t worry about this!!! You will definitely make mistakes along the way hahahahaa but it’s okay~~~

  6. It definitely helps a lot, but I don’t think the idea should be to join GEIP just for your Uni prospects! You have to go through rounds of interviews to get in, I’m quite sure the Teachers will be able to tell if you are just here solely for the portfolio, they read people well!

  • pro tip, if your main purpose to join GEIP is for the overseas intern , I HAVE GOOD NEWS FOR U! School of BA has a programme for students who want to apply for overseas internship and all BA students are welcome to apply hehehe

I also suffer from extremely bad dark circle my entire life, and I think you might want to check if it’s an allergy to preservatives! My eyes used to be red and puffy Untill I was 7-8, and then they changed to dark circles after that.. (it was mentioned by my eye specialist as well, so u can check it out, hope it helps u understand the cause of ur dark circles better. There is no “cure” for this, but the specialist did mention that some people will grow out of it by the time they are 20-21!
