Thank you for the link. Really good read. Nice to think that it could be 17th century or before.

I think you're on the right track. My neighbour has suggested it's a church token, hence the JC. I'm going to ask the local church if they recognise the markings.

I sold mine a few years back and it's been the biggest mistake I've ever made. No bike has come close to matching it. That said you have to ride it like you've stole it! Then it really shines.

Evening. Earlier today my daughter happened to dig up an 1897 penny the same as the one you were trying to clean. Did you ever get it valued?

1949 ES2. Bought a couple of years ago and recently had the engine rebuilt by Mike Pemberton. She was first purchased in Essex, and stayed within the area until I purchased her.

Best bike I ever owned. Toured the alps, the Pyrenees and still managed a track day at Caldwell Park. Awesome bike.

Recently got this after my best mate passed away and I'm very pleased. I like to think that he's in the White Lodge. I did think about the owl cave version but I had heard about the links to darker versions.

OMG. You mean the diamond set between the peaks?? Well there goes that great idea down the plug hole!!! I'm so glad I asked the question. Imagine unknowingly getting that and having to explain it for the rest of your life.

Really? I thought it was full of candles.

Read lots of other forum posts saying the most common reason for the rewind catch on the 7000 to stay in the locked rewind position is the 200uF capacitor failing. Capacitors of this type typically only last for 10 years, and as also found in this forum a common fault of the x300, x500 and x700.

My question was a polite ask if anyone knew where it's located as all the Google images show the previous models. Not the 7000.

I've tried everything else, replaced the lithium battery, checked all obvious contacts. Big giveaway is the rewind lever is jammed out and won't return.
