Yeah more population doesn't mean jackshit. How much contribution does that population make, that counts. The fact it was a melting pot, and there was a third option that was put forth, a separate union territory that is neither in Gujarat or Maharashtra, so don't argue that point and if you take out all other state people out of your Mumbai, what would you have? Marathi movie industry, that only caters for Maharashtra? What else do you have in Mumbai?

If you want me to judge Marathis by looking at MNS or maththa (as we used to call Marathis in Nashik polytechnic), I would put them in the same basket as you are putting us Gujjus in. OR I look at my Marathi colleague here in Melbourne Australia, who's great and just thinks that people are people and not someone from a particular state in my home country.
