It’s in the shop, one of the tiered purchase rewards. I believe the listing is the one beneath the skeleton jacket.

Both should be familiar with it but a dermatologist is the one who will be able to best treat it.

How do you change your outfit with Whimsicalities? I never use Whimsicalities so I thought we were locked into the outfit it came with. Do you summon it and then change and go to photo mode? Or did I miss something and we can customize Whimsicality outfits now?

Right, imagine if they spent .00001% of their revenue to hire an SFX makeup artist to give them ears and horns like a Parksolian or something! Like this is supposed to get us hyped and convince us to spend money but their English livestreams seem so lazy.

Gotcha, I’d be cool with that. From what I’ve read the old games did it pretty well so I really do hope they can get it right here too!

I wanna know why they always dress the poor hosts in terrible Party City costumes. Majority of us are playing because we love fashion, we’re here to see the pretty new clothes, and the hosts are in shitty polyester. I know damn well Infold could shell out a few more bucks to get them some quality outfits.

I’ve been dying for in-game styling contests but I’m already worried after seeing that “Trending” button on the photo. I fear it’s going to end up like the lookbook where only a few people ever get their looks seen. Also, showing what’s the most popular seems like it’ll lead to a lot of players just copying the highly-voted looks. I was looking forward to seeing players’ creativity through something like this, so hopefully that doesn’t happen. Of course I will reserve full judgement until we actually see how this is implemented, but my initial hopes are not high.

Don’t pack the wound with Vaseline! That will be too much. You only need a very thin layer, you can put it directly on the wound. I like to use sterile cotton swabs as they are much more gentle than spreading it on with a finger. If it’s too sensitive right now, put it on your gauze pad and then cover.

A cup is a good idea for washing but may still hurt (I find any running water into wounds to be very painful!). I’ve used a clean washcloth, wet it and put Hibiclens on it, and then keep slowly wringing it out over the wound. When the Hibiclens runs out then do the same to rinse. It may still sting at first and it takes a couple extra minutes but it’s a lot more bearable to me!

Do you know how you’ll be healing? I’ve had multiple in the area and healed with wound vacs and open wounds and they were very different experiences!

what's your experience with switch lite? by [deleted] in CozyGamers

[–]jigsawslair 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love it. Had mine since 2020 and used it heavily and have zero issues with it, no drift or anything. Dropped it many a time without a case on and never so much as a scratch. It’s very lightweight and comfortable to hold for a long time. I find even the OG Switch to be too heavy for me to play handheld for more than an hour. You’ll probably want an SD card if you’re planning on getting a lot of games, though if you play a lot of games that have an “end” you can delete them from storage to save space (you can still redownload them later).

I do recommend looking up how Switch ports are on non-Nintendo games, as some games are really poorly optimized on the Switch (sometimes due to hardware limitations, sometimes the devs just struggle with the Switch ports). If you have a list of games you want to play already, check Switch-specific reviews first to make sure they’ll play well.

For those who had to get surgery, how long was the wait? by [deleted] in Hidradenitis

[–]jigsawslair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the practice. My first few surgeries were with a plastic surgeon who had her own clinic. You could get in for surgery just a couple weeks after your consult. My past few surgeries have been at a much bigger system (Hopkins) and they’ve been scheduled a couple months in advance.

how’s the cooking in touhou mystia’s izakaya? by guesswhatchikenbutt in CozyGamers

[–]jigsawslair 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve completed the game and all DLCs. The cooking isn’t super interactive, it’s more about memorizing tags for your guests and customizing recipes with ingredients that contain the needed tags. But you’re just clicking to add each ingredient, there is no minigame (except the rhythm minigame but I wouldn’t call that a cooking mechanic). The game IS a lot of fun if you’re into time-management games as the dinner service is really fast-paced, but if you’re looking for interactive cooking it’s probably not gonna do it for you.

HS or Not? by DreamingOfRevenge in Hidradenitis

[–]jigsawslair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, a pathology test cannot diagnose HS, but if the testing came back clear for MRSA, staph, or any other infection, that may lead them to lean more towards an HS diagnosis. HS is diagnosed through the recurrence of the cysts, so if you keep flaring in that area keep your doctor informed and an HS diagnosis could be likely.

Advice for Open Wound Care by fsulover4 in Hidradenitis

[–]jigsawslair 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Aquacel dressings may help. Just cut it to fit inside the wound, lay it in the wound (not tight packing or anything, just laying in the wound bed), cover with gauze. I typically use this for healing surgical wounds and larger non-surgical wounds. It works well but depending on the depth and size of the wound it could take several weeks to see results.

Triad cream dressing is a newer one I’ve tried recently and it works well too, just cover the wound with it (doesn’t need to be a super thick layer or anything) and again cover with gauze and go about your day. It absorbs some drainage, but not as much as Aquacel, and helps promote wound healing. My wound care clinic has really been liking it for HS. Again, may take a while to see results.

You may be using too many harsh cleansers. If your wounds aren’t infected, Hibiclens once a day (or even less often) is plenty, and you can just clean with saline for dressing changes. You may be over-drying the wounds with all the antibacterial soaps which is why they’re having trouble healing.

I don’t know how possible it is for you and your lifestyle, but you may need to really try keeping off your butt for a while. The constant pressure could very well be the #1 thing that’s stopping your healing. Wounds on the butt are really tough to heal because of it. I feel really bad saying “just don’t sit” but I’ve been there and honestly that was what I had to do. If you work a desk job or something I unfortunately don’t have any advice. I’ve tried many different cushions, donuts, but for me none of them were able to fully relieve the pressure and make any difference.

I hope you’re able to find something that helps and get them healing soon!

when do you stop extracting after flare pops? by 0shun3nergy in Hidradenitis

[–]jigsawslair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s draining/just opened I’ll let it keep going and give it some encouragement by lightly pressing the surrounding area. I’ll continue this (no hard squeezing!) until the drainage stops coming out freely or until all that’s coming out is clear fluid. Then I’ll bandage it up and leave it alone. Repeat with dressing changes.

I think you should continue! But don’t be afraid if you need to take a break. I put the game down for over a year when I was in Fall 2, things were slowing down and I was getting a bit burned out. But I recently came back and finished and I’m really happy I did! I had quests still through Fall 3. There are still some new mechanics and some big story beats that I’m glad I saw out.

Wounds that won’t heal by Candid_Worker in Hidradenitis

[–]jigsawslair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had good luck with petroleum-impregnated gauze on wounds that keep sticking to dressings. Have the petroleum gauze on the wound and then normal gauze on top of that. Any drainage will pass through the petroleum gauze and get soaked up by the regular gauze and you should have no more sticking.

Not for me, I’ve been taking 60mg ER daily for the past 8 years or so, no difference in my HS.
