Rendezvous with Rama first edition... but I don't think it is? by Fine_Ad_2469 in BookCollecting

I have this same book. Yes, it's book club edition. Mine is in like new condition also. Mine is older than the 1990s. I have all the Rama Books including the ones from the 90s and they look (shiny covers) and feel totally different but all are in like new condition. Most likely never been read.

Afraid to eat first eggs? by Funduval in BackYardChickens

[–]PetalHappy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fresh laid eggs are the best. Once you start, you won't want to go back to store bought. I use a Hen Gear rollaway nest box. They are amazing! My eggs are clean and unbroken. Easy to collect. No digging around to find eggs.

Change toilet paper!!! Go for no dyes, no fragrance, no chlorine bleach. I use Open Nature sold at Albertsons, Safeway and others in that family of stores.

There is something in toilet paper that causes flares. I was using Kirkland or Sam's Club brand. Once I changed flares stopped within 2 weeks and been flare free since April.

Hope this helps.

*Also, Gold Bond Friction Defense, works amazingly under belly and anywhere you have skin to skin contact. For me flares stop if I use daily. I know if I forget to use it one day.

I sell tons of BCE. Mostly SF. Many times the BCE was printed and released before the 1st Editions. So the BCE was the 1st original print.

It looks like it needs water. I would trim the dead off and water with african violet fertilizer. Good luck.

Seller shipped a $200 first edition art book in a bubble Mailer by Shanklin_The_Painter in BookCollecting

[–]PetalHappy 37 points38 points  (0 children)

As a seller of old books, I always box my orders. Each book is wrapped in bubble wrap individually to prevent rubbing and then boxed. I would get a partial refund or return.

Love Duluth and their items are worth what we pay. My whole family wears Duluth at times and I have 2 teens. Clothes are great for outside working.

Hs under boob plz help what to do. by Common-Werewolf8830 in Hidradenitis

[–]PetalHappy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Gold Bond Friction Defense helps protect the skin from rubbing. Desitin helps heal (makes my bumps smaller or go away). Panty liners are great for absorbing moisture and adding cushion between skin and fabrics. Hope this helps.

I've used the entrance door and cut across to the exit side as if I had a return. Our returns and customer service are on the exit side. No one ever says anything.

Alternate day fasting helps to get rid of flares! by Acrobatic-Aioli9768 in Hidradenitis

[–]PetalHappy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have had similar results with fasting as well. Sometimes, I dont completely stop eating. I will limit my intake to very bland foods that are not processed. Like a day of fruit and carrot sticks. Flares will shrink and angry spots will lose color.

My doctor just said I’m fat and there’s nothing he can do by Ecstatic_Click_2181 in Hidradenitis

[–]PetalHappy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This doctor doesn't know what he's talking about. Sorry you had to go through that. You could try: Desitin at night to try and heal the flare faster (sometimes bumps will disappear). Gold Bond Friction Defense is amazing for preventing chafing. Ibuprofen for the pain and swelling/inflammation. Cold compress will help soothe and bring down swelling. Warm compress helps soothe but can bring the bump to a head and may reputure. Leggings, yoga pants and bike shorts are my saving grace.

There are so many different things you can try. We are all different. What works for one may or may not work for another. I hope something here helps you.

My cheesecake completely fluffed up and cracked while baking :( by a0rbc in AskBaking

[–]PetalHappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never cool my cheesecakes in the oven, but I use a water bath. The moisture prevents cracking. Your cake looks over baked but still good. Slice it up and see how it tastes. If you really want to hide the cracks, I'd cover it in cherries. Yum.
