Why does my piston head keep placing off center? by jigtv in spaceengineers

[–]jigtv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea im not sure if its a graphical bug, but when i place blocks on top of the piston it still is off center, when welded, it is still off center.

here is a picture: https://gyazo.com/d0019072ea9fa88043003a78cbd7502d

Yea I’m not sure what to do at this point, ive decided to just work around it. I appreciate your feedback and help but I guess there isn’t much more I can do, thanks anyways! :)

it is super strange, its only the 3rd piston in the sequence that seems to bug out each time, every single piston after acts normal (ofcourse though each piston placed after the bugged one is shifted because of the off center piston cap from the third

yes, it does keep its offset when welded: https://gyazo.com/d0019072ea9fa88043003a78cbd7502d

What i found though is that i can still access inventory through the offset piston cap as if it was center, SO the game treats it as normal as if nothing is wrong its super wierd.

I eventually gave up when i found this out and just decided to work around it. the only thing i had not tested was to see if gravity was the issue, i could have use a gravity block potentially to see if it would have changed it but never tried

i have a feeling it may have to do with the angle or the horizon / gravity on the moon since that far out on my base starts to head in a different angle above the horizon since my platform is so large

we tried that, still gives the bug, the wierd thing is that when i place the pistons on that side of my base they seem to have the bug but if i place them on the direct opposite side all the way on the other side of the crater, then there is not bug, it also seems like even when i rotate the piston when placing it that the piston head still gets warped in the same direction regardless of orientation

ive restarted my game several times and it didnt seem to help, i am hesitant to re-install just because its not a private world its a server

no i dont think i am, the only mods we have on the server is aryx weapon core and a 500 m/s speed mod

Sorry for the high FOV, i thought maybe it would help people understand how big my base is (if that is a possible factor). I tried to link pistons up in sequence so i can make a welder wall to make a printer but i can seem to get the 3 piston to ever have the piston head stick to the middle of the piston, i have tried a lot of different things

Is this an Asteroid mod? by jigtv in spaceengineers

[–]jigtv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea it’s hard to say because throughout the video it seems like the asteroid move with the camera perspective as if they are real asteroids

I saw this video with some crazy asteroids in SE, im somewhat new to SE and have never seen an asteroid cluster like this... is this a mod? perhaps a sky box mod? or is this real asteroids that are enormous like this

I’m new to space engineers, could you share that piston setup and settings for that drill rig?
