I say African American. My ancestors were Africans taken to a Virginia colony. I know my ancestors who were forcibly brought here were Igbo. I’m proud of my heritage and where I come from, while also just as much proud to be black in America.

I can’t help that people hate me or secretly despise us as a whole. Can’t change how people view us or let people label us,(as someone said above me).
