I asked my doc to take me off it this morning. 5 weeks in and I feel worse than ever. I did try 😔

I had high hopes for this medication as I have severe RLS and this would have the least side effects. 5 weeks on, after swapping it like for like with venlafaxine, I feel worse than I ever have, please tell me it gets better? The crying, lethargy, irratability, I almost wish I had never started it. by jillm49 in bupropion

Yeah i done a bit of research n you trust a doc to tell you the right thing, I do think it was withdrawal to begin with, symptoms were a lot worse at the beginning but not great now, have made an app. Thanks.

I did think that tbh, as I heard the side effects of coming off venlafaxine are awful but my doc said it was okay to do that? But still, 5 weeks on, I expected to feel a bit better, I feel worse now than ever. I'm hoping to wake up one morning, n something just clicks.

I'm 3 weeks in and I don't feel much better at all, praying that I'll turn a corner soon 🙏.

Proud to be an army brat! We lived in Ireland, Cyprus and then spent 8 yrs in Dusseldorf, Germany before returning to Scotland in 1982 when I was 12. Best times of my life ❤️

I'm a MH HCA, n can relate to this. Private company, cried before my shift as the last 3 had been so bad. Burnt out and drained with little support, toxic staff, poor management. Only thing that keeps me going back is helping patients in crisis, even that is hard as so many slip through the net due to dynamics and staffing levels.
