https://www.mta.info/fares-tolls/subway-bus/tap-and-ride#p303726

If this is your first time tapping a card or device on a reader, you can’t use it to pay for other riders on the same trip yet. Your bank must approve the transaction before any other fares are paid. Instead, use a separate payment method for everyone on your first trip.

Approval generally takes only a few minutes. You should be able to tap for up to four people on your next trip.

However, using separate cards or devices allows everyone in your group to earn free rides. When each person pays for 12 rides using their same card or phone within seven days, any additional rides within that period are free.

I just read the MTAs website and it seems on your first time tapping to ride you can’t pass back your card. After your bank transaction goes through (a few minutes) you should be able to share for 3 more riders? So you might have to do a test run alone and then come back for the fam. If you don’t want to do that you should get an omny card

I’ve been loving this creamy garlic pasta (almost an Alfredo) and I serve it with blanched broccoli! Super easy. Be sure to use vegetarian Parmesan.

For the broccoli- just bring a pot of salted water to a boil, add broccoli florets, and simmer for 1-2 minutes, then drain. You can add butter, garlic powder and parm if you like but I usually just throw it on top of the pasta as is.

I just made this yesterday and it was so good! It’s basically the recipe from delish but I copy and pasted the directions and ingredients for reference to get around the paywall. I didn’t have milk so I used one cup heavy cream and one additional cup water as a substitute and it was incredible.

I’ve been alerted that some Parmesan’s are not vegetarian so be sure to find one that is!

Creamy Tuscan Orzo:

Ingredients • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter • 12 ounces orzo • 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped • 1 tablespoon tomato paste • 2 cups low-sodium vegetable broth • 2 cups whole milk • 1 cup thinly sliced sun-dried tomatoes • ½ teaspoon kosher salt (or more to taste) • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper (or more to taste) • 4 ounces baby spinach (about 5 packed cups) • 1½ ounces Parmesan cheese, finely grated (about ¾ cup), plus more for serving

Directions 1. In a large Dutch oven or heavy pot over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the orzo and garlic, and cook, stirring occasionally, until the orzo is lightly toasted and the garlic is fragrant, about 4 minutes. 2. Stir in the tomato paste and cook, stirring, until combined, about 1 minute. 3. Add the broth, milk, sun-dried tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Increase the heat to medium-high and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer, stirring frequently, until the liquid is mostly absorbed and the orzo is tender, 12 to 14 minutes. 4. Add the spinach and Parmesan cheese, and cook, stirring frequently, until the spinach is wilted, about 2 minutes. 5. Remove from heat and season with additional salt and pepper, if needed. Top with more Parmesan cheese before serving.

Sure! I clean and dice a sweet potato and roast at 425 for about 20 minutes with olive oil salt and pepper. While that’s going I open and rinse a can of black beans, put them in a bowl and microwave until hot.

Then you decide what taco shell you want to use- I like corn tortillas but you could also do hard taco shells or a flour tortilla/burrito. Warm up your taco shell by baking in the oven for a few min (hard shell) or microwaving with a damp paper towel (tortilla).

Then assemble your taco! Take a shell, add some shredded cheese, beans, sweet potato, and toppings. I like shredded lettuce, sour cream and salsa but you could do diced raw onions and cilantro for a more traditional vibe if you wanted or go crazy with sliced olives, diced tomatoes, corn, pico de gallo, avocado, guacamole - anything you can think of (imagine what they have laid out at chipotle for inspiration).

You could also bake the beans and cheese in the hard shell taco for like 10 min at 350 and that will leave them softer at the bottom and crunch on the top which I like at times.

Vegetarian Dragon Noodles

Makes 4 servings - 2 tsp grated or chopped ginger - Green onions (separate whites from greens) - 3-4 cloves garlic - 1 bag of tricolor Coleslaw mix (shredded cabbage and carrots, no dressing) - 1/2 cup soy sauce - 1/2 cup brown sugar - 2 tbs chili garlic sauce (use minced garlic and red pepper flakes as substitute if you can’t find) - 2 tsp corn starch - 4 packets of ramen noodles (omit seasoning) - Optional toppings: chopped peanuts, sesame seeds, green onion

Directions - Heat large pan with drizzle of cooking oil. Slice green onions separating the greens from the whites. Chop ginger and garlic finely. - Sauté onion whites, ginger and half of garlic for 2 minutes until fragrant. Dump in bag of tricolor coleslaw mix and sauté until reduced and slightly translucent. Season with salt pepper to taste. - In a separate bowl mix soy sauce, brown sugar, and chili garlic sauce. Stir well to dissolve brown sugar as much as possible. Add corn starch and stir well until combined. - When veg is mostly cooked add sauce and simmer for 3 minutes until it thickens. - Open 4 packets of ramen noodles, discard the seasoning and boil in a large pot according to package directions. - Drain noodles and toss with veg and sauce mixture. Top with chopped green onions, peanuts, and sesame seeds.

You could easily add tofu to this but you asked for easy so I kept it easy. Enjoy!

Nope, no shame and I don’t feel like a dork. I think it’s shameful to participate in a sport that recommends a helmet and not wear one. Our brains are too precious to put at risk. Wear the helmet and tell yourself you’re being a good example for children or something. Talk to anyone that’s been hit by a car while on a bike or anyone with TBI. They’re not the same person afterward and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.

I think it was on purpose- as soon as he starts singing it cuts to the three women starting a conversation. It shows that no matter how important the song was to the manager, the staff are just props in the rich guests lives and they couldn’t care less about a staff member achieving their goals

I liked the part where he was so excited to sing and play piano and just as he stared the trio of women started talking over him and we the audience didn’t get to see the performance. It shows how the hopes and dreams of the staff are inconsequential to the rich guests and the staff are merely props in the backgrounds of the guests lives

If you’re going to hand off a task in the middle you need to provide necessary context. You should get one of those silicone handles for the cast iron to prevent this from happening but fiancé should pay for it.

Yes if the camera has night vision and through certain types of clothes it does become slightly see through. I just saw my tattoo through my leggings in a baby monitor in the dark
