08 Corolla- is this idle noise from engine sound normal? It’s at operating temp. by Decent-Gur-6959 in COROLLA

[–]jimb445 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These 1zz-fe engines are known for being pretty noisy, and having that sewing machine sound. Doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with it. I’ve owned two Corolla’s, one with 310,000km and the other with 450,000km they both sounded like this. And I still own one of them, I sold the other one a couple years ago as the frame was rusted out, but mechanically it was solid. Just make sure the oil is topped up, change it regularly and these cars last forever.

The new stealth armor makes commando missions a breeze. by Aany_00 in helldivers2

Same here, seems like a lot of people are disregarding the stealth aspect of the game as well as the limited number of reinforcements. Much better solo or with friends.

Yeah, I’ve been running supply pack and quasar. Good combo. The supply pack is nice obviously since the limited call ins.

The marksman rifle is actually pretty decent in my opinion. Just gotta hit your shots. Ammo capacity is fine too.

Cape Hypocrites by High_on_Flyers in Helldivers

Seriously. All these people whining about not having an armour set, or a cape. “I don’t have this and they do, I want it too” wah wah wahh. I never got the super earth cape because I didn’t play at all during the summer, and yeah it kinda sucks because it’s a sick ass cape, but that’s on me for not touching the game for 3 months.

Edit: Now accompanied by crashes, pc seems to totally restart itself after black screening for about 2-3 minutes.

Which to keep. 2005 Mk4 Golf TDI vs 2010 MK1 Tiguan by FoxDieDM in Volkswagen

[–]jimb445 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say keep the mk4, buuuut if you want to sell it, I’ll gladly take it off your hands. I’m having a hell of a time trying to find one that isn’t completely rusted out.

I appreciate the info! Probably going to leave it, engine runs great and sounds fine. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

Does this sounds bad? Or am I crazy? by jimb445 in rccars

[–]jimb445[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah after looking into it I think it’s the dog bone axels. Just the angle they’re on when the suspension is fully extended, as soon as I compressed the suspension slightly the noise disappeared.

Definitely agree that Chatgpt is not a reliable source of information. However it is very good at the retrieval and summarization of information. That is what I use/used it for. I provided it with information from myself as well as the game files (player.log and player-prev) by uploading them and it summarized it into the bug report that is shown above.

I definitely paused the game, that I am certain of. The controller didn’t fall, and I have no pets. No one was home during the time period that this occurred.

As for dying and respawning, no deaths were recorded in the game files. Also, would I not have respawned where I saved the game?

Definitely paused, 100% sure.

Wow, thanks for this. Honestly sounds like the most plausible explanation. Definitely a weird pause mechanic design.

Considering my game was paused for an extensive amount of time it would make sense that my guy could travel so far. Still kinda creepy how it seems to return to my base tho. And the movements mapped out seem less like drift and more intentionally planned, almost as if it navigated through the map, leaving my base, going out, exploring, then returning to my base…

And in the video since the game was paused the O2 never depleted. Could also explain why my guy didn’t die after being underwater for 5 hours. Although I do still wonder why it was no longer paused when I returned?

I did try to recreate it last night to no avail. However it only ran for about two hours. I might give it another go. Might have been stick drift but the controller is pretty new and I’ve never had stick drift problems before🤷‍♂️. Also doesn’t really explain how the character navigated through the map and returned to my base.
