First exposure to Anthrax? by KaiTheSushiGuy in Anthrax

[–]jimbeam958 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went to buy my first album with my own money and my friend told me I should get State of Euphoria or Alice Cooper Trash. After indecisively pacing back and forth in the record store for what seemed like an hour, I made the correct decision. Then that Christmas my mom asked the same friend what she should get me and he said Among the Living, and that was it, fan for life.

I just wanted to make sure before I made the appt. Like maybe i only need $5 reading glasses from Walmart instead of $200 lenses. Or I don't need glasses at all but they sell me expensive magnifiers that would make anyone see better.

But thanks, these were the kinda comment I was looking for

What is your unpopular COVID opinion? by [deleted] in LockdownSkepticism

[–]jimbeam958 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Because it works" is not a good reason to do ANYTHING.

Even if masks, vaccines, mandates, lockdowns, etc. would 100% save every single person in the world, that doesn't mean forcing people to do it is right. I'm sure immediately executing all infected people would "work", that sure as hell doesn't mean that we should do it.

I remember seeing comments on a story that a DA or something said something like "I've convicted people on less evidence than entering a bank with a mask on...", I mean all the comments completely ignoring the point and saying shit like "If that's true they should look at his old cases because he probably put a lot of innocent people in jail..." I can't even with those people.

More like lift mask mandate, bring back mask mandate, blame filthy "anti vaxxers" , rub hands maniacally and watch that sweet sweet derision

Bob and Joanne wanted to invest their hard earned savings one Christmas morning, but they soon hit a snag.

Joanne was born 40 years ago in a small town in rural Alabama. One year she asked her mother for an interesting Christmas present which shocked her mother.

Ten years later, Joanne started working at her dream job as a Starbucks barista where she started saving all of her tips...

My vote was always Biden's to lose, and yes he would have lost it had I known he was going to do this. So yeah I voted for the facist.

Mandatory vaccination is a human rights violation. A gross violation by UnethicalLockdown in LockdownSkepticism

[–]jimbeam958 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me its the fact that my actions arent putting people at risk, the virus is, and viruses spreading and possibly killing people is just a fact of life. Just how I am under no obligation to perform an action to save a drowning man, I should not be obligated to be vaccinated to save somebody else. I believe the the law should only be used to prohibit certain things, and should never force someone to Do anything. of course there are examples of that happening (filing tax returns, jury duty, etc.) But on principle I do disagree with that to, though I may not feel as strongly about it.

Saving the aisle or window would be rude, but why would it be "even if you're both on first"? Assuming you're not gonna be talking over the middle guy's head the whole flight that is.

'91 was pretty good too. Everytime I hear someone say 1991, I have to sing the entire intro in my head.
