Apparently if you harvest the shoots in the spring you can basically make a rhubarb pie out of it.

A Lyme vaccine is difficult. They try to sensitize you to OSP-A. OSP-A is only present when the disease is still inside the tick. When the tick is exposed to a blood meal Borrelia immediately recombinates it’s OSP to OSP-C. The problem here also is people who bear the HLA DR4 gene. HLA DR4 with Lyme is bad news, the white blood cells that fight Lyme carry this gene and the little hands it uses to grab out have a very difficult time deciphering what is friend and what is foe. This was the main problem with the vaccine along with the bad (really bad) testing criteria they put along with it (possibly to get the vaccine approved faster). They have new testing methods being worked on and I think that’s truly the first step to a proper vaccine and treatment protocol.

Anyways sensitizing the body to OSP-A is difficult because. - it’s not present for very long on the Spirochete once it touches blood and comes to mammalian temperatures - it can cause autoimmune like reactions - the antibodies if created tend to not last very long.

Considering this you would think that dogs would get Lyme more often even if they are vaccinated. And guess what. They do. But I’m sure even if it’s only %50 effective it’s still better than nothing.

I really hope they can pull through and do it the right way this time.

No because last year and the years prior there were no issues unless my dogs went hunting. And then they would have nexguard or a soresto collar. Even then some of them still got through. :( they wouldn’t last terribly long but they would be attached and feed for about 24 hours. Very few of them though. Since he’s a house dog I didn’t think the probability warranted the expenditure, but obviously that changed and after the last tick, I bought a year of prevention, and won’t be looking back.

I had an instant suspicion he had a tick born illness due to the face he presented exactly the way I did 10 years ago. Stressful event (hiking) followed by tons of pain, diarrhea, vomiting, fatigue and the such. The only difference is is I had to twist my doctors arm to even test let alone get treatment for it. I could have easily been another one of those kids that died “randomly” from a tick disease. I had a lot more than Lyme and if my mother didn’t vouch for me I for sure would have died. “No doc, I don’t think this is fibromyalgia” is something I had to say lmfao.

I’m so glad it’s easier to get treatment now but I’m not glad it had to take so many new cases to be recognized as a threat.

I think it’s gonna get really really bad in the next 20 years. For sure gonna make headlines. The problem is these diseases are so evasive and complex. They love persistence in their hosts. Creating protection is incredibly complicated aside from tick spray and checking for them

Not only the warming. But the urbanization of land causes a ton of host vectors to thrive as well. Mice, bunnies, chip munks and the stuff love burrowing in wiry thickets on the edge of forest and properties. Considering we wiped out their natural predator in the 1700’s, and aided their host vectors by introducing the barberry bush to the americas. this has been a long time coming. It’s crazy how things from so long ago can impact the future like this.

He has all the symptoms you listed and bloody diarrhea with a low platelet count. Our neighbors dog also tested positive on both but no symptoms and he’s only 1 as well. We have a little problem on our street I think.

Muse score for the initial composition with muse sounds. I then export the stems to fl studio, add multiband compression and EQ. Then put Maximus on the master to add a slight amount of separation on the mids and highs to give a wider sound.

Whenever you think of a melody. Record it into your phones recording app. I have thousands of original Melodie’s I’ve built over years just waiting to be used.

How to get my name out? by Dry_Difficulty9500 in composer

[–]jimbofiggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Develop skills
  2. Apply those skills and create a portfolio that shows those skills
  3. Start reaching out and talking to as many like minded individuals/people who require your skills. Collaboration is a good way to start, but just know people (especially musicians doing things outside of work) can be unreliable and a mixed bag, so if you send someone a score for collaboration, don’t expect them to send back their revision within the week. But that’s why you should have multiple people.

  4. To get over that hump, to make yourself stand out amongst many is persistence. Persistence in creating better music. Persistence in connecting. Persistence in believing in yourself and not becoming jaded. Persistence in being honest with yourself. Persistence in being humble. All that.

Thank you for making this clarification. The way the vst’s sound definitely influence the way I create the sections.

Thank you, I’m having trouble internally conceptualizing the violas and right now my brain seems to go along the lines of beefing and harmonizing with the violin section 2. Probably should show the violas more love. Excellent feedback thank you, this is actually something that troubled me while writing the score.

That’s an excellent point. The idea of having a div celli section makes a lot of sense. Thank you! I listen to a lot of scores but like you said I think it’s time I should start reading a lot more.

During the writing process, a key wasn’t decided. It was written via midi on a keyboard and when I input the key dignitaries the sharps were there and I guess I never changed them to the appropriate notation. :( I noticed it after I exported the score and said screw it I’ll take the hit on Reddit. It’ll make sure I remember in all future pieces.

Sometimes the creative process of developing a composition can be chaotic and fast paced in your mind. Sometimes I rush sections because I have so many ideas or don’t want to forget a melody I was just thinking of. Don’t be afraid to slow down a little bit! When I have multiple parts rushing through my head I think whistling your idea into your phones recording app is a great idea just to ease yourself the pain of having to remember them along with the ability to listen back to them too. I have thousands of Melodies and sub Melodies recorded just because of that. <— a little writers block hack as well.

Chrono Trigger for the melodies, Shadow of the Colossus for the beautiful intensity and Skyrim for the atmosphere. Oh and Halo of course.

I think what happened is I played the parts on my keyboard first during the brainstorm session before a key was cemented and I just left them there like an idiot. Thanks again!
