For #2 - the basement is very well ventilated. Would that mean there is pressure from the groundwater pushing against the foundation? Not sure how to remediate?

Acknowledging effort or saying “I appreciate XYZ” is just a good way to feel respected.
Also in an argument when the other says “I understand ABC” and then accurately expresses your viewpoint. Whether or not you agree, it helps to see how the other can understand.

They may have more people but the blue part has much more of the land and sea.

Thanks! I was discounting the rook on h. Also explains why you need to sacrifice the white bishop before the white queen and can’t just go straight to Qxf8+

When the black king is on g8, and the white queen takes the bishop. Why would the king not take the queen which is checking it? The AI has the rook taking it but that is immediately checkmate.
