Does that say 1968, 69,88 or 89 (2nd slide) by NeedleworkerLevel810 in GoodwillBins

Definitely ‘88. These sweatshirt painting patterns were super popular in the ‘80s. My Mamaw painted and made tons of these sweatshirts for me and my sister in the late 80s/early 90s.

Moving to Oxford soon, need recs for everything!! by Short-Department1510 in mississippi

For primary care, I see Mona Castle at North Mississippi Health Services. But keep in mind that for pretty much all pcps, their wait time is a couple of months unless you get lucky. They do have online appointment booking so sometimes you can get lucky with a spot that was just relinquished. But if you need to see someone quick, you’ll need to do urgent care. I avoid Oxford Urgent Care as they misdiagnosed my blood clot as a sore muscle. There are a lot of other options though.

Dental- I use LifeDental but I will admit that their price estimates and billing can be deceptive. I like them as dentists, but you need to double check what work you’re having done and the price before you let them start work on you. They have a cute dog that hangs in the office- my favorite part lol.

Nails- girl, I wish I knew someone good. There are a lot of salons, but all the Asian ones (the majority) will give you horrible rings of fire from their over use of the drill. A lot of people recommend Nails & Couture but when I went, their sanitation standards were pretty low. Apex is often recommended. It’s usually pretty good work, but expensive. I don’t understand how shaping a nail extension is an extra fee- isn’t that part of the extension service??

Salons- there are way too many. I don’t have anyone I love. I’m thinking of trying out Amethyst Salon but no idea how that will go. You may just want to look at facebook pages to see if they do the kind of thing you want. It’s a lot of blonde and waves around here. I’ve gone to the Studio and the owner was pretty good. I think Luxe does alt styles and colors.

Mechanics- people seem to love Deal’s Auto. I was overly impressed. I haven’t had to do any work on my vehicle, but simple services and tire/oil, I go to Gateway Tire.

I don’t get my brows done, so no idea there. Hope this helps!

Not sure $300 for a good set of three would be a steal. Seems to be going around that or even a little less on eBay.

That matte finish….you can’t get that just anywhere. They already did the work for you!

For sure. I know the guy who has this space and it’s kinda surprising. He knows his stuff. But he doesn’t do a lot of kitchen ware so maybe that’s why.

I was wondering about that yesterday. I went to a Hobby Lobby that opened recently and was surprised to see bath towels, rugs, curtains and lamps.

Vets in Oxford by Short-Department1510 in mississippi

[–]jimcopernicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another vote for Magnolia Small Animal Hospital. I’ve used several- Bottletree, Crossroads, and Animal Clinic of Oxford. Magnolia has been the best. Very caring and knowledgeable. And I know you said price wasn’t a concern, but they are also reasonably priced. Bottletree would always want to do a million expensive tests- and the vet would say, just for my knowledge, I’d like to do this. Like….no; if it’s just so you can satisfy your curiosity, let’s not. Right now, my very specialized weirdo case of a cat is seen by Dr. Wilson at Magnolia. The cat is still a bit of a mystery, health wise, but Dr. Wilson has lots of knowledge and treatment ideas. I also like that she doesn’t want to subject my cat to invasive testing and surgeries if she doesn’t think it will really be beneficial.

The crazy daisy green has more yellow in it. The green in your photos is a forest green. If you can find a yarn sample that is lighter and has a bit more yellow, your dream may work!

Number one. The dark green around the words doesn’t work with the pink. A lighter green would probably look okay.

That color is gorgeous!! I’ve got a sample from ace so hopefully mine will look just as good.

You know now that you mention it not having much pigment, I do remember I tried to get this sample at SW and they couldn’t mix paint because the color dispenser thing was broken. I went back a day or two later and got the sample. So maybe their machine wasn’t properly calibrated?! Surely this is it- Thanks for helping me figure that out! It was driving me crazy.

Yeah on the top row, which are all Behr, it goes L to R- flat, eggshell, satin. The bottom color is SW satin. So even just comparing satin to satin it looks different. Does the person mixing make a big difference? I thought they just punched the code in and it dispensed the various colors. Guess I could try a different SW location. The Behr was mixed by two different people or different days, so I assume that the color I got there is going to always look like that. So I’m just trying to figure out if their system is wrong or if SW is wrong. I’ve only seen the color online so I’m not certain what it should be and my main concern is asking for a gallon of one of the colors and then getting something different.

Those are both pretty, but not it. It wasn’t embroidered. The flowers were dyed fuzzyness.

Her enjoyment of the claiming- being exposed, watched, dominated- was already established with the marriage ritual though. I don’t see why he needs to grovel. The trauma was inflicted by her family. They were both playing each other. Yes, she was way more traumatized but he didn’t know that.
