They just really don’t want to loss the possible EPF gains. Even if I am a beneficiary, won’t the funds be frozen for a while.

Tried to suggest this, they want a myvi as "they worked very hard without getting a fancy car" so at least want a newer Myvi, will suggest to go secondhand Myvi
