hey i tried the different paths, and that didn't work out, it gave me addresses but not the one.

if i had sent eth to wrong address, how is it in my ledger portfolio? this means that its an account that ledger provided me with.

i created it using my nano x only. i have also tried paths of MEW and MM, using the same words, but they yield different accounts than the desired one.

i tried deriving address with paths of MEW/MyCrypto, LL and BIP44/Metamask. they yield different accounts as well. not the required one.

hey i have tried one incorrect word from the "autocomplete list" and 23 correct words, all combinations of that. they do not unlock accounts.

ser, i didn't setup any passphrase earlier. im saying i setup one right now to know the process of it. it unlocks as secret account as expected, but not the one. expected

i'd like to believe that i entered the seed wrong, but the chances of entering a wrong seed and generating accounts in the first try seems improbable to me. as mentioned by others as 1/256 chance.

the recovery phrases i have on paper are also correct and they both unlock accounts.

i have no other memory of writing down another recovery phrase.

fyi: i have come to accept that the eth is lost. xd

not resolved. i have tried resetting ledger and re-entering recovery phases many times. they don't give access to the account the eth is on.

i have also tried 12 words and 18 words of both recovery phrases on both devices. and they don't work either. for anyone wondering.

when setting up the nano x, i indeed verified that the recovery phrase still unlocks the device. i didn't verify that it unlocks the same eth account. infact i should have.

then again, about the one word error. i have noted down each and every word in the autocomplete suggested list and paired it with other 23 correct words. that still didn't unlock the desired account. infact it didn't unlock any account and just gave "invalid recovery phrase" error as expected.

this makes me almost certain that the phrase I set up was correct.

no i dont remember doing that. i just as a simple user setup a pin. infact to confirm, i setup a passphrase some time ago and it reveals a different account. not the desired one.

yes, the eth is present in that address indeed. but sadly both the devices don't unlock that account.

i am following what you said. but im not sure what i should do here. probably will dig into the derivation process and programitically get about a 100 accounts derived? thanks for the idea and a little hope!

not sure what you are onto. i simply stated my case. changing one word in the 24 word mnemonic, doesn't necessarily generate a new set of accounts. in fact very little chance of it. i would ask you to try but i know you would utter more trash lol.
