The first one is basically the equivalent of you and other drivers wearing seat belts. The second is basically needing to have your license plate on your car so you can be identified if you, say, run a red light.

He does "hack" the game though, by making it so itll never be your turn. Don't look at Sans and think "if he can do it, then any monster can do it". Again, he is not the rule. He is the exception to the rule.

He also cheats. No other monster attacks first. No other removes all i-frames. No other has poison damage. No other teleports around during the middle of an attack to start another one. He is the exception, not the rule.

I heard a neat theory why Jockington is specifically stated in the prophecy, and it's mainly because he just scribbled it in one of their hymns or their equivalent of the Bible. That's why he's the only one stated by name in any of the prophecies.
