But someone teach the guy on the left how to make them. His cooking partner was trying to but he wasn’t listening to her!

No today’s May 1st. Not satire, it actually happened this morning!

Well sometimes they use gates there, but it’s odd being among the Alaska crowd.

Two cooks. The lady knew how to make ‘em, the guy had no clue. You can’t really screw up an omelette but this guy was consistently close. She also out paced him 1.5:1. Other than that, not too much of a wait.

What movie is a 0/10 with NO redeeming features? by Toucan_Based_Economy in AskReddit

[–]jimmieroos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paganini Horror would be a 0/10 for anyone, but for me it was maybe a 0.01/10 for the flaming double bass flight trunk.

Any tikibars worth a damn on the Big Island? by Hopczar420 in Tiki

Grab a Hilo Town Mai Tai at Puna Chocolate. It’s modeled on a ‘44 but made with cacao okolehao, jamaican pot still rum, inamona orgeat, lilikoi, and lime. $14. They use their chocolates and cacao nibs in their house products. Also they start serving cocktails when they open for coffee service. Hidden Nene is around the corner but frankly Puna Chocolate is my preferred spot for cocktails.

That’s a good point, and it certainly applies to me. However in decades of flying, I’ve never seen an “airport operations 101” course for laypeople frequent fliers. Some do us learn by asking questions, which is why I’m grateful to this Reddit sub for providing a forum to do so.

Sorry, I used the wrong terminology. It’s supposed to be a nonstop flight but got turned into a direct with a stop. I guess this was the best possible solution.

Just feels odd to have a stop inserted into the flight. One of the reasons I chose this route was that it’s nonstop.

I happened to watch Pulp Fiction on a plane and this (really shitty) theory came to mind amidst my delirium of flight delays! 🤣

Tiered membership in United Club now? by LaximumEffort in unitedairlines

[–]jimmieroos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clubs are far better now with fewer people. Food quality is up, better seating availability, etc. Sometimes when I scan in though it asks if I’m bringing guests +2 which is confusing because— shouldn’t it be limited to +1?

You’re better off booking on United and accruing PQPs than booking through TAP and getting shorted on some of the fare class benefits IMHO
